Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 63Nice, but not for full price
Hotel Lumiere is a nice hotel, and adjacent to one of the nicer casinos in St Louis. Lobby is impressive, the rooms are nice, clean and very large. It's all that it's cracked up to be except for a few things. 1) We were there for 36 hours, and we had to have our key cards re-magnetized 4 times. Very frustrating, and the front desk was none too apologetic about it. 2) Parking is $10 per day for hotel guests, but on the other side of the fence casino parking is free. Hhhmm. 3)The Lumiere casino charges $4-5 for alcoholic drinks. I have never experienced this before, and don't appreciate it. 4) Although rooms are very big, bathrooms are super tiny. What's up with that? Otherwise we had a great stay and might stay again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 63Pretty good
The hotel staff was nice - the beds were comfortable. Our room smelled a bit musty but nothing terrible. It's a nice place and good laclede's landing location. It was the location that sold us.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 63Great modern styled hotel
Had a great one night stay here. Chose this place because I wanted to be near entertainment and restaurants. I did not visit the casino because I don't gamble but everything was within walking distance for us. For those who need to be near the Busch stadium, this would have been a 5-10 minute walk as you can see the stadium through the hotel window. The TV in the room did not turn on and the maintenance guy came up quick to service that. The only thing that peeved me, and this was partly my lack of caution, was I booked a king-sized suite online and was not aware that I got the smoking room. I am not a smoker and I could definitely smell it in our room. The only other option was a non smoking queen-sized bed suite. It did not turn me away as the smell was not too irritating for me and my girlfriend is an occasional smoker. I would stay here again if I wanted to be near Laclede's Landing or the casino, but I like to try new places with every visit.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 63My engagement weekend
We stayed at Hotel Lumiere at the end of August and it was wonderful. The hotel left a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room, because they knew I was proposing to my fiancee that Friday night. It was a great place to stay for the occasion.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 63Great place to relax and have fun
If you are planning a vacation in St. Louis this is the best hotel to relax and have a great time. The service was excellent. The Beds are the most comfortable and clean. My wife and I had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 63Good location
We found that the Hotel was a good value for the money. It is close to restaurants and night life and connects to the casino. The bathrooms were a bit small and dated, even though the rooms were large and refirbished recently. The Savoy restaurant in the Hotel had excellent food. The tunnel link worked well when we realized where to find it. The staff was not very much help in suggesting restaurants or sites to see - the visitors center was much better. Self parking was very easy and close by.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 63Great Choice
The hotel is very clean and very nice inside. Our room was extremely comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of many of downtown's main attractions, the arch Busch Stadium ect. For the price all things considered it is a GREAT DEAL!

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 63Needs help in customer service
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We accidentally left two shirts in the closet after checkout. We called an hour after leaving, and were told that they articles of clothing would be retrieved for us and someone would be calling us for the details. Needless to say, we've been home now for 2 days and not a single person has returned one of my 4 calls! I am truly disappointed in the customer service of this hotel and their staff. Obviously, someone stole my boyfriend's shirts from the closet, and that's why nobody has called us back. I'm truly disappointed. Also, there were lots of homeless and sketchy people walking around the hotel/casino area that came up to you. Don't walk around alone at night!!!
