Great hotel!

We choose this hotel after reading the other reviews from hotels.com and tripadvisor. The room was very spacious (Esp for Europe), very clean with a modern feel. The hotel is located right across the street from a metro and train station which made getting around the city extremely convenient. The staff all spoke English well and was quite friendly and helpful. The spectacular Font Màgica show was a short 15 minute walk up the street.

Good room for the money

Room was a good size, housekeeping was okay, but the staff were very helpful and the hotel is next to the train station and metro - very convenient.

Fabulous

Rooms were great, bathroom was incredible. And the location cannot be beat -- right next to the central metro for access to all the city. I will most definitely stay here again!

Great location

This hotel is conveniently located near the Barcelona Sans station. This is the main station for the metro, RER and RENFE (spanish railroad). The area is safe, clean. The room was very modern and clean. The only problem was the bed was too hard.

Great hotel for price, great location

One of the best hotels in that price range that i've stayed at in europe. very clean, rooms are bigger than most places in europe i've been to, and location is great. it's 50 yards to one of the main tain stations and also to the metro. i loved it

Great hotel, especially for the money

I really enjoyed staying the Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya, the location was extremely convinient being right next to the train station (which we took from the airport) and right across from the Metro. The mattress was a little hard but after a long day of sightseeing, not very noticeable. The maid service is excellent and left the room spotless after each day. The only complaint that I really had about the hotel was their smoking rooms. Even if you or your companion do not smoke, you will smell the smoke wafting in from the vent in other smoking rooms. I discovered that I do have a sensitivity or allergy to smoke on this trip through the unpleasant aroma that leaked into my hotel room on a few of the days (due to other smokers in close proximity). The was the only downside for an otherwise very pleasant experience. If you have any sensitivity to smoke or do not want to smell smoke in your room, just be sure to get a non-smoking room because even if you are not smoking, you will be able to smell it from others.

Great room and service

We had an outstanding experience with our stay at the Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya, and that was not just because of the cleanliness of the room and amenities, but also the service and help from everybody we came in contact with. We also had a very pleasant surprise with the restaurant and the wonderful meal we had there. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Great location and service

Really a great location in that it is right next to the train station. From the airport the RENFE train takes you to Barcelona Sants station which is across the street from the hotel. The regular metro station is also across the street from the hotel. The staff at the hotel speak pretty good English and are very attentive to guests. The room was standard but clean and comfortable. A supermarket is conveniently attached to the hotel.

Nice hotel, good location

This hotel was right across from the main bus/train station (sants) which makes it great for traveling. Took the airport train just 3 stops and walked a block and was at the hotel. The turist bus stops about 2 blocks away and there is a subway stop about 2 blocks away. Great, friendly staff. Awesome bathrooms, nice view.

Great location for getting around Barcelona

This property is convienently situated next to the main Sants train station which allows you to access the local metro subway, the regional trains and the high speed AVE. In addition, you catch the Barcelona tour bus at the back of the Sants station. Purchase a multi-day pass for the tour bus so you can take your time to see the sites on all three tour loops. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a delightful dinner in the restuarant on the top floor of the hotel. Exceptional views and food but a tad $$$.
