Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 21The place to stay in Barcelona
The room we had was spacious and nicely decorated even by American standards. The bathroom was larger, clean, all marble, with a tub and a walk-in shower big enough for 3 people. My wife is very sensitive to noise, so I asked the front desk for a quite room and they gave us a room on the 10th floor that was not only quite, but had a panoramic view of Barcelona. The staff were very helpful in giving us recommendations and directions. The hotel is right next to Sants terminal which is very convenient for taking the metro to any place you want to go in the city or taking the regional train to other cities or to and from the airport. I would stay at this hotel every time I'm in Barcelona.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 21Great staff
We returned to our room after a day of touring and found that something in the bathroom ceiling had sprung a leak. I called the desk and within a few minutes house keeping sent someone to clean the mess. The manager immediately upgraded us to a better room with free drinks and free internet. The 23rd floor restaurant with its great view of the city is a good reason to book this hotel. We can highly recommend it. The train and bus stations were across the street. No need to pay the high taxi costs. Just take the train to and from the airport.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 21Our experience was great
Great location, 2 minute walk to main train staion, subway and the terrific BusTouristic. Room/beds were good, view of the city from our room and especially from the 23rd floor restaurant were spectacular.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 21Best yet
Clean and comfortable, close to the train station (train to airport for 1.35 euros). Close to metro station, quick trip to La Rambla. Bar/lounge food is excellent, prices are reasonable. Highly recommend to everyone.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 21Good hotel for the price.
Very convenient location close to train station and the metro. Can get to virtually any of the spots of interest in Barcelona by metro within about 15-20 minutes. Outstanding view of the entire city from the top floor restaurant, which serves a very good, reasonably priced buffet breakfast.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 21OUTSTANDING HOTEL
We arrived at the hotel 9:45 am from an overseas flight and the room was available for early check in at no extra charge. The hotel staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and spoke english. They were very knowelegable and helped plan our sightseeing for that day. We stayed at the hotel one night and boarded a cruise the next day. The train station was a 3 minute walk to the hotel. The train was very convient to get to all the attractions. We used the train to go to the cruise ship terminal as well. It was about a 25 minute walk from the train to the cruise ship terminal. The mattress was kind of hard. The hotel was in excellent condition.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 21Conviently located and rightly priced!
I picked this hotel because it was conviently located near the train station. It came in handy. When we got there, we were told that there would be an extra charge (small) for my daughter, but I didn't mind because they gave us an extra bed. The room was clean and we had a good view. The only down fall is that kids were riding their skateboards across the street until late hours. If you have kids who go to bed early, I would not recommend it. Other than that, I would stay at this hotel again.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 21Good Value Hotel
While this hotel is not in the Ramblas area, it is only a few metro stops away and you pay 1/2 the price. The room and staff were very good.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 21Great Location
This hotel has easy quick access to the airport and the metro system. The view was nice and the room was large and comfortable. I recommend this hotel to anybody who needs to get around by the metro and anyone who wants a good quality hotel. Breakfast not included. And for those who don't speak spanish the staff spoke very good english.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 21Better than expected
This hotel far exceeds my expectation. The room was huge and comfortable with a King size bed and a twin bed. The bathroom was also huge (however, the knobs on the light switch keeps falling out). The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly - we have a two year old that was sound asleep when we were checking in, the recetionist took my wife and son upstairs while I was finishing up the check-in (nice touch). ATM is two minutes away from the front door of the hotel, and there is a supermarket right inside the complex (it is located in the basement of the department store). Train station to the middle of town is acorss the street and so is the tour bus. Only complaint I have is there is relatively nothing around the hotel itself (it's really not a big deal. We took a cab from the airport to the hotel with five pieces of luggage and it cost us 30 Euros (the ride is about half an hour on Friday afternoon). We also took the cab from the hotel to the cruise port and it took less than twenty minutes and 17 Euros). Everything was great, highly recommended.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 21Convenient and the price was right
We like to be near the train station because we visit relatives in Rubi, Villasar de Mar, and other nearby areas so this hotel is ideal for us and it is also convenient to use the train to get to other areas of Barcelona. The hotel is clean, convenient and the staff has always bent over backwards to serve us. Generally, we select the hotel in the area offering the best rates. This year it was Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya. We have stayed there some three or four times.
