Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 12Great room for the money
This hotel is attached to the Canada Place exposition center. It is walking distance to several wonderful restaurants and the Coal Harbor Marina. On the first morning, my wife woke me to find out what the sound was that came from the harbor. It was float planes taking off and landing on the water. The sound was not very loud, but it did catch her off guard before she opened the drapes. There is no need for a rental car if you are willing to walk around the very clean and safe area. We were able to walk down to the aviation center and catch a sea plane over to Victoria for a day trip that included lunch, whale watching, and dinner before being deposited just a few blocks from the hotel by our return flight. The location was great and our experiences dining in the hotel just reinforced our impression of the level of service we received.

Top on my list of great hotels... fast room service and very caring to go above... I had a broken foot that they helped me freeze the ice packs and change them out every 4 hrs... great service.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 12Exceptional Hotel with Outstanding Views
We stayed in Pan Pacific for three nights in June 2008. We checked in very late because our flight was delayed. The staff at reception desk was very helpful and upgraded us to the 'Mountain and Harbor' view room. The room was impeccably clean with tones of amenities that you expect from a hotel in this price range. The views were magnificent. Our room window opened to Stanley Park, Lions Gate Bridge, Burard Inlet with Grouse Mountain in the background. Every morning two cruise ships arrived under Lions Gate Bridge and docked in at the terminal below the hotel. The convention center was located on first two floors and there was a large food court in the basement which was connected to a large mall. The location and conveniences around the hotel were perfect. Everybody from room service personnel, restaurant wait staff, bell boy, and doorman were highly professional and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Food in the hotel though little pricey was very good. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anybody on a business of a pleasure trip.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 12Good location & View!
My wife and I stayed here for the first time. We found the staff helpful when needed. Nevertheless, the hotel did not present a cozy atmosphere for the traveler if you are on vacation. It is a bit structured.

Really very loud air conditioning in the room. It's very uncommon to see an hotel like this (and this expensive) with such noisy rooms. The service though is good. There are several restaurants inside. The food is ok, but they are too expensive for what they offer. Look for something if you're staying more than one day or two.
