Better than expected

For price and location, I expected something less than typical Radisson quality, but was a nice hotel.

Great service

After driving around, neighborhood turned out to be decent. Conveniently located close to the airport, Target, and restaurants. Service was fantastic. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Watch out for hidden costs!

Make sure you have enough money in your account because this hotel double charges at check in and doesn't refund your money until two weeks later. Also the front desk clerks in the evening were rude and didn't even know what a pack-n-play was! They wanted to charge us for parking!! I called room service and no one picked up so I had to dial out and call the hotels front desk and I was charged 75 cents for an outside call! Also the room lacked things like garbage liners. We had no place to throw diapers. The room we stayed in had a broken outside door and we could hear people talking and cigarette smoke was seeping through the huge cracks. In addition, the pool is outdoors and unheated so it is basically unusable most of the time. Don't bother packing your suits for this place. We did not enjoy our stay at all and I wouldn't go back.

OK, but...

I've stayed at this hotel before and was happy to return. However, San Jose was heavily booked and my cost was considerably higher than on the previous visit. The hotel is generally fine. The staff is cooperative. The room s were OK, but could have been cleaner. (We were a tough judge since we misplaced something and looked under everything.) The fact that the sliding glass doors were out of plumb, had air leaks and were fastened shut with a Rube Goldberg remedy was not outstanding. In all, I'll probably stay there agian, hopefully at a price that seems to fit the hotel better.
