Party in room above until 1am.

Loud music, people jumping around and screaming... not a scenario usually expected at a Fairmont hotel. After the party started, it took 3 calls to the fron desk and over an hour for the disturbance to stop. No apologies from the management. No response from manager to email. Very poor customer service!

Great room for the money

This fairmont isn't like other Fairmonts in terms of the professionalism with its staff. The staff at the front desk didn't seem to care much about any of our requests and were a bit condescending towards us. However, in terms of cleanliness and room comfort, the room exceeded our expectations. Overall, the price that we paid for our room definitely made everything worth it.

Great Hotel in great location

I was visiting from out of town for a Sharks game, Sharks won so it was overall a great weekend trip. The hotel is great and maintained very nicely. It is located near many restraunts within walking distance and a short walk to all that downtown has to offer. The only downside was the fact that I had to pay $26 for parking. I mean its San Jose and they're charging $26.

Beautiful hotel!

This is a beautiful classy hotel with very comfortable rooms. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer!

Mediocre stay

The room was clean. The television kept losing satellite signal, even after they reset it twice (gave up on it). The hotel also required a hundred-dollar deposit for the room, which I thought strange. The crowd can be a little rowdy on the weekends I guess. I would only recommend this hotel if someone needed to be located within walking distance of the downtown area.

Nice, but I expected more from "The Fairmont"

My first time at the Fairmont and I was excited. Turned out to be a fairly standard room, quite nice, but not that remarkable. It was on the large side, big bathroom (we were in rm 1710) and the amenities you expect --flat screen tv, etc. There's an extra charge for wifi and the parking is $26 --I tried to find a discount package deal for these but none were offered. The gym had treadmills and stairsteppers but no real ellipticals, no room to stretch. The pool looked great as we were there during record-breaking heat wave, but crowded. I also experienced some frustration when I tried to call the front desk on Sunday morning and was put on hold for at least 10 minutes. I thought they might've forgotten me so I called back and they tried to put me on hold again. At this point, I lost my temper and it put a pall over the whole stay. Overall, the hotel was fine, but merely the bare minimum for what I expected to be a top-tier hotel.
