Club Quarters in Houston

Very nice...

From the moment you walk into the hotel, you know it's going to be nice. Like any botique hotel, everything's on a slightly smaller scale - but well done. The only quibble we had was getting enough bath towels for 2 people. Otherwise, the service was friendly and the room was good.

im experience at club quarters!!!

The staff was very friendly,, and it was so quiet during the day and night while construction was going on..Two things that would make me not want to come back is all the construction that is taking place currently and parking is so hard to find.

Great location / very nice room

Nice room and great location for downtown at a very reasonalbe price. Would absolutely go back again.

Met our expectations

The hotel was what we expected it would be. It was selected because of it's location to Minute Maid Park. There were other hotels closer but not for the quality and service in relation to the price.

Decent Hotel

Stayed for Astros Game,, close to Minute Maid Park,, small but well kept rooms.. Downtown location a decent choice of restaurants to walk to. Good but not great service

Excellent Value

Clean comfortable room conveniently located. Polite , helpful staff. Will likely stay there again when enjoying downtown Houston entertainment.

Adequate for price - great downtown location.

I stayed here with my two daughters because we were going to a two day conference downtown. Location was great - price was good. Hotel was not as nice as I'd expected, but it was nice. I had one main problem. Our suite had a bed and sofa bed - my daughters were to sleep on the sofa bed. We got back to the room after 10 pm and the bed was not made up. No problem. I made it up but there were no pillows. I called down for pillows. They said they'd send someone up. It took 3 calls and 45 min before we got pillows and could go to bed.

Needs Much Improvement

We had booked a 2 night stay in this hotel, but we could not stay the second night and went to a different hotel. Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was that the room was warm and stuffy. We also noticed on the room information card that they leave on your bed that they turn the A/C off when you are not there(unless you specifically ask them not to), so we assumed that the room just needed a cool down. We adjusted the thermostat and went out for a bit. When we got back the room was in the same condition. We contacted the front desk and they assured us that the problem would be fixed early the next day as the maintenance man had left for the day. We endured the night in a warm room and left for breakfast the next morning. When we returned from breakfast the problem was not resolved. We waited until 2pm and confronted the person at the front desk. The only information that she would give us was that "they are working on it". When we asked to speak to the manager, she told us he was out and could not be reached. She was very rude and ended up recommending that we leave the hotel. We took her advice. In the process of trying to resolve the issue with the hotel we found that the manager was a rather illusive fella. We never were able to speak with him. He takes holidays off - never heard of a hotel not having a manager on duty at all times - very strange. In the end we were assured that our credit card would be credited for the night we did not stay and we had a VERY pleasant night in a different hotel in town. I could not recommend this hotel unless it is under different management. Poor customer service.

very dissappointed, small rooms

there was construction going on outside which made it impossible to get any sleep. The location was great but judging from the security they had I got the feeling we weren't exactly in the safest of neighborhoods. They advised we not walk to any nearby restaurants or bars at night. In fact, they strongly suggested we cab it 4 blocks for our security concerns. Rooms were very small. Although we weren't traveling with children, I wouldn't reccomend you bring any, there is no walking room whatsoever in the rooms. The flourescent lighting throughout the hotel reminded me of an office. I would stay somewhere else next time.

small quarters, somewhat outdated

Our stay at this establishment was overall just OK. We had many problems that began with being assigned a smoking room when we requested non-smoking. And then they wanted to charge us for changing rooms. The elevators and interior structure was outdated. The service was helpful but the rooms were VERY small! The lighting throughout the hotel and rooms were an ode to an office environment. The location was convenient to nightlife and restaurants etc. however, for the price we paid, I would rather have stayed at a chain like omni or hyatt.
