Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 15Nice Room
The hotel is nice however the restaurant is hardly ever opened. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a bottle of champagne from the restaurant and they did not return my call. After 3 days, I gave up. Don't depend on getting room service unless you can catch them. And the beds are hard as a board. Not comfortable at all. We actually had to take the mattress off of the pull out couch bed and put it on the bed to make it work. Other than that.. the rooms are beautiful.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 15Outstanding Hotel and service
The rates was good and the location was outstanding because we didn't rent a car,but the subway and buses was all that we needed to get around. the price of the subway and buses was good so we had more money to shop and go out and see all Toronto. Ramada Plaza, you just could not ask for a better hotel to say a week at, the staff and service was just outstand to us and the Shade had some of the best food in Tronto so after being out all day we come back to the hotel to relax for an hour or two and the Restaurant in the hotel had really good food and you could not beat the price. We are going back this July and yes we will stay at the Ramada Plaza Toronto Downtown again

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 15Outstanding Hotel and service
This hotel was the best. The room we stayed in was wonderful in every way, the beds I could live in the bed hours and hours. the room was clean every day and done well. The experience of living in the Ramada for 6 days was just outstanding the food was well price and some of the best food in town and the staff looked after me and my wife like we were family. We walk or use the subway or buses to get around the location of the hotel worked out for us. We will be going back in June and we will stay in the Ramada Plaza once again. Outstanding hotel once again!!!

Old, dirty, smelly & small. Wouldn't recommend... The staff was ok, but the wireless internet didn't work, the hotel was small, smelly and quite old...kind of creepy. Definitely wouldn't stay again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 15Not the best, but got the job done.
When you first walk in the main doors, you may notice an odd smell. I'm guessing it was the water that was being pumped through the waterwall and pond in the lobby. That and the construction work going on right outside my window (On the 10th floor), are really my only two complaints. The hotel itself seems to be an older building, and you won't get that super clean feeling like you do with other newer hotels.. but like the title says, it gets the job done. The beds are very comfortable, but don't expect too many extras such as a mini fridge, microwave, decent ice makers or vending machines. The view of downtown Toronto wasn't half bad either! As for the restaurant in the hotel, it was OK. Not the best but still a decent value. The faculty and staff were very polite as well, no complaints there. Above anything else, the hotel has a great location. Right down the street there is a great bar called the Red Lion, and a great restaurant called Casey's. Nice corner stores for snacks and drinks as well. You can either walk to a lot of the major sites in Toronto and/or take a short cab drive as well. Fairs under $10 in each direction. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that just needs a semi comfortable place to stay without a lot of extras.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 15Surprisingly good
From the ratings and review I wasn't expecting much from this place. Especially when I realized where it was located. We were treated very well by the staff. I arrived early and they even let me check in a few hours early. The room was terrific. Very clean; cozy yet spacious. They did a great job with the space they had. Parking could stand to be a little cheaper but what are you gonna do. Will visit again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 15Convenient Location
This is the second year in a row that my husband and I stayed here.Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The bathroom window did not seal well and so it was cold in there (below zero outside)! We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub though. The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and also close to a subway station for those too far to walk locations. We would stay again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 15Incredible bargin!
An excellent hotel, and for the price, even better!!! The bed, room, and interior decor of our room was definitely very nice. I was not expecting our room to actually be three rooms, one with a king size bed, and French doors connecting it to a living room - complete with another TV, coffee table, and sofa! The bathroom was also very nice. The hotel easily could have charged double their rate for rooms these nice. Subway was only a couple blocks down the street too, so it was convenient to get around Toronto. I'd recommend this hotel to many others.
