A gem of a hotel with very reasonable pricing

I have been staying at the Holtze Hotel (formerly Holtze Executive Village) since the first time I booked there in 2007. The rooms are like small apartments or condos, and everything is very nice and very clean. There is even a gas fireplace in most rooms, which is very nice to enjoy on a cool evening. The Holtze does everything right. I always go out of my way to get a reservation there befor I will consider looking elsewhere.

Great hotel for the price.

This was our second time staying in this hotel. We will stay there every time we are in the area. There was construction going on just outside of the hotel-- but that obviously isn't the fault of the hotel. The hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. The pool area was clean- although they had run out of pool towels (so we just used the towels from our room and had them bring up some more). The room was clean and quiet. The kitchen was fully stocked and functioning. The fireplace was in working condition and makes the room very cozy. The hotel was very quiet. The only thing I found not clean was one of the glasses in the kitchen cupboard had spots and looked dirty. We were very satisfied there and we will defeinitely return! It's close to shops/restaurants, easy to find and get around and is in a nice, safe area.

was not expecting the quality that i got for the price, I liked that it was set up more like a village then one large building, great breakfast, very nice personel, and very laid back yet quick

Extraordinary hotel/home

excellent facility to stay at. would recommend to everyone, and we will be going back to stay on our next visit to kansas city. the staff is extraordinary.

Ants

There was an issue with the Ants, I asked for the room to be sprayed and it was not, nor did they offer me another room. I called the front desk several times and there was no answer. I was not pleased on this stay. My other stays here have been wonderful however.

A nice place for the family

Big clean rooms in a nice quaint area. This place is perfect for when your family comes into town to visit. Quiet rooms too!

Attitude of Hotel Staff

I have booked many rooms on the internet over the years. This one reached a new low for Hotel Staff. On check in the Hotel Staff was surley and combative. They tried to hide their agreement that I would abide by the rules by folding the form so that only the space for my signature was visable. I opened it up and read it and asked what it was all about. They told me that if I didn't sign it, I could not stay there. There was nothing unreasonable about the form. Their attitude toward it and me was very combative. If I had another option, I would have left immediately and found somewhere else to go. Save yourself the grief and don't go there. There are many other Hotels that welcome you and are glad to have you. Here it was a definite inconvienence to the staff.

No Better Deal In Kansas City

I visit KC frequently, and I have stayed in many of the better hotels in the Overland Park/Shawnee Mission area over the past 10 years. The spacious suites offered at the Holtze Executive Village are the nicest rooms I have had the pleasure to stay in. The rooms are actually suites, and the bed in the separate bedroom is always very comfortable. I slept as well as if I had slept in my own bed. I enjoy having the gas fireplace on evenings when it gets a bit cool. And the kitchenette makes it possible to grab an early (or late) breakfast without having to make one's self presentable. Overall, I give the Holtze Executive Village highest scores of all hotels in the greater KC area. I will be staying with them every chance I get. I highly recommend this hotel to you.

Awesome room for the price

Don't count on the kitchen.

We checked in with 4 adults. The kitchen had 4 of some things, 3 of others, and only 2 of some. A call to the front desk did not produce anything except "I may be able to find a plastic fork somewhere." They made no attempt to get us what was supposed to be in the room. The only up side is that they didn't try to charge us for what was missing. Bring your own serving items. And if you want to cook for 4, bring what you will need to cook, the equipment provided is designed for one, maybe two if you eat light.

Exceptional Hotel

We reviewed the Hotel on-line and thought it looked great. We were extremely suprised that the pictures were an accurate representation of the real thing. When we do come back to this area we will be staying at this hotel.
