Great Hotel for Value, Service and Location

Stayed at Listel after a short cruise and didn't want an expensive dockside hotel as we were planning to be out exploring. Exceeded all expectations. Can't say enough about service/hotel/location/price. Biggest surprise was all the free extras-Computer in lobby FREE-printer(B&W)FREE local/long distance call FREE-WIFI in room FREE -In room coffee FREE and as a side note there's an excellent cigar store next to hotel with a very friendly and knowledgeable owner who lived in many places including the US.

Great Value !

Located on the quieter end of Robson, this hotel was a great value. Definately 3 stars or above, it was clean, quiet, and staff were very helpful and friendly. I had no complaints during my stay, and would recommend it, especially for the price.

Convenient to everything

This hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, sightseeing venues. It is also close to the cruise ship piers, but too far to schlep luggage--take a cab; it's not expensive. The Airporter shuttle stops right in front of the door, making airport access super easy! The front desk staff is knowlegeable and friendly. They even provided umbrellas during a recent rainstorm!

Excellent

This hotel is lovely. The art throughout is fantastic. The staff from reception to concierge to cleaning were perfect. Location could not be better. We did not try the restaurant. I would definitely stay at the Listel next visit to Vancouver.

Location and Service Very Good

We arrived early, 9:30 a.m.; we were upgraded and were able to get into our room immediately. Staff were helpful and courteous throughout our stay. We will plan to stay there again when we return to Vancouver.

Didn't know I had to pay extra for parking

The hotel is nice but I was surprised to be forced to pay for parking. It was a steep fee for only 1 day. Wow. It would have been nice ti know that before I made the reservation.

True Bargain

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and beauty of the hotel. Though we only stayed one day, we could see this is a quality establishment and highly recommend it.

Second Time Around

This was the second time for us to stay at this hotel so it was great to be able to book through hotels.com. Since the hotel is affiliated with one of the Vancouver museums, it has some great art in the lobby, hallways, rooms, etc. The staff is very helpful and courteous. They were great at recommending places to eat and visit. The hotel is located at the end of the shopping district on Robson which makes everything convenient to walk to. We parked the car and walked everywhere. It was awesome. The restaurant below the hotel is very good as well. We had a room on the street side both times and you would think that the location would be noisy, but we did not hear any of the street noise.

Service was excellent!

This hotel is not large, but very centrally located in downtown Vancouver. the room was nice, and very comfortable. What most impressed us was the service we received every time we asked anything from the desk staff. We did not have a car, and had not been to Vancouver before, and had two days to explore before leaving on a cruise. We stopped by the desk several times to ask about things to see or do, and they were always very helpful. They had maps and drew out specific directions so we could walk to most places. for things a bit further away, they let us know of bus stops, and even which bus number to get on to simplify our trip. One day, when it looked a little rainy, they even offered a free umbrella to borrow, just in case. We had a very nice stay, and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Met all expectations

Listel is very convenient to downtown. My room was very clean, spacious and quiet. The hotel has lots of character and every staff member was most helpful, including David (engineer/maintenance). Free wireless and phone service made all the difference. The little fitness room is adequate (although there's no remote control for the TV). The jacuzzi/hot tub was great. I would definitely return if I was back in Vancouver.

Remarkable Art and Decor

This modern hotel displays art everywhere -from the entry sculptures to gallery displays to one of a kind dinner plates in O'Doul's restaurant. The artwork makes a unique statement which sets the hotel apart from its cookie cutter competitors. Although the lobby is spare and contemporary, our room was very comfortable with a clever windowseat and all the amenities.

Great Staff & Location

Staff was really friendly. Great location and even though it was on a busy street our room was really quiet.
