Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 35Very nice hotel, but could use a couple of improvements.
This hotel is very nice and VERY kid friendly. The view from our room was unsurpassed. Waking up every morning and walking out on the balcony at to see the pool, golf course, and beautiful mountain view was a great way to start the day. The sunsets were even better. The staff at the hotel was the most friendly we have ever encountered! They made our stay very nice. That being said I have a couple of complaints. The beds were VERY VERY hard. I have come home from a wonderful weekend with a backache. It is definitely time for them to replace the beds. The bathroom sink faucets leak all over the counter and soaked all of my toiletries. The refrigerator didn't work. Lastly, the pool area is overrun by the guests. There we 56 people "in" the water when went to the pool. My 1 year old got hit in the face from a football that was being from one end of the pool to the other by adults. There were beer cans and drinks all over the edges of the pool. Kids and adults were cannon balling into the pool nonstop. There were at least 6-7 people on rafts. I have stayed at many resorts and I have never experienced a pool area this out of control. There didn't seem to be any staff trying to control the madness. Unfortunetely the view from our room of the pool was more enjoyable than actually getting to swim in it. I can't wait to return to Palm Springs for another great weekend. But I will look at other resorts before making the decision to stay here again.

the hotel is very nice .. Great price, and great hotel.. Just was dissapointed that the patio door didnt slide open and my wife broke a nail trying.. I couldnt open either. We called the front desk to report, they sent someone to fix.. BUT. i asked for a third night stay as courtesy.. i was offered a discount on a third night.. WASNT good enough for me... What do you think...???

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 35Outstanding Hotel
The personnel service and attention is out of the ordinary, very good. Nice pool, gardens, all is nice, new and clean. Beautiful Golf green and mountains view. Excellent Hotel overall. I surely would book again. Downside: Gym room is too small, below standards. No sauna nor steam room. Tennis courts are out of the hotel limits and do not belong to the hotel. Guests must rent courts by the hour.

The hotel personnel were really nice. The hotel was well kept. Except with the lack of service at the brunch everything else was great.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 35Needs improvement
Overall the hotel seemed clean and fairly well maintained. We brought out dog so we were in a first floor room. The carpet was stained. The mattress on the bed I had was tilted on the lamp side so that you felt like you were going to roll off onto the floor. Definitely need to do some mattress flipping. I was gone all day from 9 a.m. in the morning until after 10 p.m. When I got to my room it had not been made up. By that point I was too tired to worry about it. I don't see that they charged anything else to my account while I stayed (no resort fee or pet fee) so I'm not feeling all that bad about the place. It is incredibly convenient to visiting my family so will most likely stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 35Great Time
We had some reservations about booking at the Doral because it was an older hotel. However, we could not have been more pleased. The hotel staff was pleasant and responsive and really made our trip more enjoyable. The pool was great and loved the poolside service. The rooms were older but clean and well kept. And the property was beautiful. I would return.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 35Should be a 2 Star Hotel
The hotel lobby and swimming pool are very nice. The view from the swimming pool is gorgeous, but that's about it. The TV in the room didn't work and when we called the front desk to send someone to fix it, they ignored our request for 2 days. The rooms are too small. Also the coffee maker and refrigirator are in the bathroom!!! How would you like the coffee to be brewing while you're using the bathroom? The price wasn't cheap. This should be a 2 star hotel and much cheaper.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 35Decent hotel for the price.
Large rooms, clean hotel and nice golf course. Location was not close to any nice eating areas or shopping. Good hotel for golfers.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 35Outstanding Hotel with Great Views
We arrived and were extremely satisfied with the appearance and staff. They offered an upgraded view room at no charge. Our view was unbelievable. The staff were very attentive and even the food at the hotel was not ordinary hotel food. The meal portions were large and the quality of the food was very good. The pool and spas were really nice and the atmosphere was perfect. It was not overly crowded during the time of year we went. They had a great drink cup for the kids that was good for the entire stay and they could get it refilled as many times as they wanted with a wide variety of drinks. The only negative was the mattress was a little worn out and uncomfortable. The shower was fairly nice, but it could use an upgrade to go along with the rest of the facility. The last night of our stay we were out at the pool and whoever was responsible for picking up the towels and keeping everything arranged was apparently not there. That was our only quasi negative experience. It was well worth the money and we plan on going back. The kids loved the pool so much that we only left to go across the street to get Starbucks. It was an awesome resort were you don't need to leave unless you want too.
