Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 42Fantastic View/Location
Our room was large/clean/comfortable, we had a breath taking view of the mountains from our room. Was enjoyable having real coffee cups and glasses instead of the standard papercups. I didn't care for the lack of a microwave in the room and no attendant in the pool area. We did not swim in the main pool as we were privy to the site of the local family of ducks using it as their private pond. We tried the hottub and found no heat at all. We did not see, or where not told, if there were any towels available at the pool, so we used our room towels. There are other hotels closer to downtown but at a much higher rate. From what I saw driving by the higher rate hotels the Doral is a much nicer location. I will be back and will plan on staying at the Doral.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 42Decent hotel
We stayed here on memorial weekend. We didn't get that great of a rate, but we did enjoy our stay. The pool was great and the bar service there was good. Great long island ice teas. You must get out to the pool early in order to reserve an umbrella and chairs. The room was nice, bedding could've been a little better. The only complaint I have is the front desk staff. They don't smile and make you feel welcome when you arrive. Other than that, I would stay there again for a better rate.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 42Very good Hotel
The staff was excellent and very helpful. They helped with directions and recommending area restaurants. The hotel is not far from Downtown Palm Springs and is very convenient to all attractions in the area. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 42HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL
I booked this hotel as a surprise get-away for my wife and I, on Valentines Day. I was THOUROUGHLY impressed when we arrived at the resort. It is SOOOOO much nicer than it shows in pictures and on thier wed site. So it was an absolute "let down" when I arrived and had to wait for 45 minutes in their lobby to check in. Due to the event of that night, I had called ahead THREE times to ensure the details were solid, they checked me in, and upon getting to my room, I noticed they had not taken ANY of my requests in. I was in the wrong type of room and when I walked back down stairs to tell the hostess, she replied hastly and rudely. It wasn't until I started to act more aggitated and my tone forced a manager to come see what the commotion was about, that the situation was handled. At this point I was 30 minutes late for my dinner reservations, that cost me an addition $100.00 for the broken reservation. Then I have put in a formal complaint with the hotel manager OVER a week ago... I have yet to recieve a phone call to resolve. I was VERY dissapointed in this experience. This hotel has the potential to be a 5 star resort, if they had the service it requires to achieve that.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 42Overpriced and watch out for the "Resort Fee" Rip Off
Although the hotel was beautiful on the outside and in a decent location for our trip plans, we were very dissatisfied with the accomodations. The room was old, stained and run down. I would have though I was at a motel six in the room. Although the room service was tasty, we couldn't believe that continental breakfast was not included! Especially since they gouge you with a ridiculous fifteen dollar "Resort Fee" that pays for your newspaper and coffee in the room (neither of which we used). I will not return and do not recommend this place. For the price, we could have done alot better!
