Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 23needs a restaurant
the room was okay. the restaurant in the hotel needs improvement.the food was not very good and kind of pricey.there is no places close to the hotel to eat unless you like subway.the pool is outside and very small(41/2feet deep end)and the hot tub was broken.it also costs to park your car overnight.
Hotel Response
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to post your comments. The hotel is currently coming out of a $90 million renovation, and not all of our new features are up and running. The hotel's new and improved fitness area and outdoor hot tub will be ready within the next two weeks, and will be a great place for our guests to work out and relax. The hotel also currently offers three dining options including Draft Media Sports Lounge, The kitchen Table Restaurant, Peet's Coffee and Tea, and Chill Frozen Yogurt is opening soon. The hotel is also connected via skywalks to the Plaza of the Americas which offers many dining options. We thank you agin for your comments as we strive to provide the best customer service and amenities to all of our guests. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 23Horrible Service
Stayed in the room for a romantic getaway. Everything was nice but ordered room service and food cart was never picked up. After coming back to the hotel that night the food was still in the room along with an awful odor. Called downstairs to report this issue and someone came up to take away food and clean the room within 30 minutes. For this inconvenience we received a "fruit basket." Great customer service...

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 23Don't Look for Service
The initial service from the hotel staff was wonderful but it pretty much went down hill after that. We ordered room service the first night and was unable to pull the table into the hallway the next morning. The next day after getting out and coming back in to a relaxing room we found that our room had not been touched. The food had been out all day and smelled awful. The bad wasn't made and of course we were out of clean towels. When we finally got a hold of house-keeping we were sent a lovely fruit basket for our troubles...how sweet!!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 23Horrible experience at Sheraton They Could Have Prevented But Did Nothing
As we approached the canopy in our car we were rudely told that by the valet they were full, and to park it ourself and carry our own luggage. I asked if we could pull forward while we checked in, and was told no the line is too long. So after spending another 30 minutes self parking and carrying our own luggage, we finally made it the the lobby, only to be greeted by line waiting to check that had about 2,000 people in front of us. This not an exaggeration. People were sitting on the floor like they were stranded in an airport. Apparently the hotel had booked a large group and they all arrived on the same day, at the same time. They only had 3 people working the check in desk and the wait was estimated to be 2 1/2 hours. It was already late, about 9 p.m. and it was new years eve and we were facing the real possibility that we would miss the countdown at midnight if we stayed in the stupid line. It was also too late to cancel and we had no choice. We had to wait but actually managed to check in about 2 hours later, around 11 pm. The hotel knew this large group was coming and did nothing to prepare for it. This completely cut into our party time as we were prisoners of this inept management. The manager wasn't even there, we were told. Just disgusting management and, adding insult to injury, we had to pay $14 for parking the next day. Sheraton, I won't be coming back anytime soon..

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 23Great Price and Location
The only thing I didn't like was that they had one person checking people in on New Years Eve so it took about 20-30 minutes to get to the front desk. The room was great though. Big flat screen HD tv, nice view, and comfortable bed. Everybody was very nice and helpful. Did not feel like it was as cheap as it was. It was a good location; downtown with plenty of parking and cabs to get you where you need to go. I greatly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 23Good stay but dissapointed
I booked a room for my wife and I and although the hotel itself was great we did run into a couple of problems. We called ahead to make sure that the advertised sports bar was playing the Cowboy game. Even though we were told it was, when we got there they told us that the sports bar as well as every feature but the Restuarant was closed for remodling. Oh and the Resturant was WAY overpriced!

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 23Great location
We stayed at the Sheraton in downtown Dallas; we had a great view of downtown Dallas near the symphony. Parking was easy, checking in was easy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was our coffee-maker looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months; it was pretty gross. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel for a nice weekend getaway.
