Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 98Stay for the neighborhood, not the space
The rooms are small but if you're really only sleeping and showering while on vacation or work travel it's a comfy stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 98cozy, nice perks
Very, very comfy bed and pillows! in-room espresso maker and refrigerator a plus. Small room with modern decor, immaculate bathroom, large TV and little bedside reading lamps. Very cozy.

I truely loved my time at the Normandy Hotel. The staff was outstanding, helpful, courteous and professional. The hotel itself was clean and extremely comfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, lovely lobby and room. This hotel never fails to impress me. Loved the "Cube" coffee maker in the room.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 98Very nice considering three star rating
The hotel was very nice and the staff both friendly and helpful. The rooms are rather small, but contained a number of hi-tech features, the best of which was a motion sensor which turned on dim floor lights in the bathroom.

Exceeded my expectations!! Hotel has just been remodeled. It is strikingly beautiful and homey, almost like a bed and breakfast. The room has a huge walk in shower, 4 post bed and the hotel is located in Embassy Row.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 98Wonderful European Boutique
Our stay at the Normandy was just lovely. The rooms are smaller in size, but were very well-appointed and comfortable. The bed was one of the softest I have ever slept in. Wonderful, quiet neighborhood just north of Dupont, which is full of great bistros and shops. Would recommend to anyone looking for more of a European, quaint style hotel.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 98Nice, quiet, safe
Tucked away off the main roads, quiet, and safe-feeling. A good value for the money. It's a 5-10 minute walk to food services, so don't expect room service. But the neighborhood is gorgeous and the staff was helpful.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 98Recommended with Caveats
The hotel is clean and pretty but be aware that parking is a nightmare in that area, the hotel only serves breakfast and that is limited, there isn't even so much as a vending machine for soda or snacks. Also, while very clean the rooms are exceedingly small. We had a queen-sized bed with just enough room to walk around it, and no proper dresser to store clothes. The bathroom seemed spacious in comparison. It's okay for an overnight or two night stay, but not for longer.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 98Decent Value
TV's have good selection of cable channels, DVD player in-room, extensive library downstairs. "Continental Breakfast" is overpriced at $11 for basically breakfast cereal and fruit. Rooms are pretty small.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 15 of 98Quaint, very comfortable Hotel!
This hotel was a nice surprise. It felt European; we had a nice Continental Breakfast (for only $10.95), a beautiful reading room, and the hotel sits along an active stretch of Connecticut Ave NW. Even so, it was quiet and had very comfortable bedding. We enjoyed it.
