Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 97Great Birthday Weekend!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was celebrating my birthday and despite I do reside in Houston, I wanted a place to relax and enjoy myself. The hotel's staff was polite, professional and so AWESOME!! I will definitely be back and refer anyone else there from out of town.

Room was lovely. It was almost 100 degrees outside but our room was very comfortable and a/c was cold! We loved the cocktail party and cookies and milk gatherings. Staff was courteous and quick to respond to all our needs. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 97Nice!!!
The Elevator wait was quite long during peak hours. We where there over the weekend. There was a wedding so the elevators stayed full saturday night. I paid for valet parking the first night which was a friday night, i decided to save a few dollars the next night and park across the street and my jeep got keyed :( The breakfast was so good. The pool was a little shallow but the view was nice!!! I got a great deal here on hotels . com... if i ever see the same prices and I go to houston i will definately stay again!!! And pay for the valet!!!! Its worth it!!

This is a nice hotel, but the elevator situation is very frustrating. There are only 3 elevators for the entire hotel. During peak hours, it takes quite a while to find an elevator that isn't full already. Also, they stop at almost every floor and it takes forever to make it to your floor. We did call down to the front desk several times asking for towels, toothbrushes, etc. They were very quick and friendly. The valet service is very nice, but quite expensive. (not included in the price of the hotel--$24/night + tax)

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 97Nice hotel
We stayed in this hotel after an astros game one night. It was a great atmosphere. The room was very comfortable except for the thermostat in the room said the temp was 69 degress but we got very hot through the night and the room got stuffy. The bed were very soft and comfortable. The downfall to this place is the 24 dollar a day parking. I think is outrages! But overall the breakfast was great and our stuff was pretty good too! We would def. stay again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 97Great room for the money.
The location was great! The parking was a nightmare though and we didn't want to pay for valet. The internet didn't work while we were there. The free drinks at the hotel bar were fantastic! The morning breakfast was great! The roof top pool was exactly what we needed. The room had a great view of downtown and Minute Maid Park.

Every thing was great, but the pillows did not smell very good...and the over night parking was very expensive...

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 97Loved the Hotel
First time we stayed at The Magnolia it was wonderful. The room was big, beds were big and roomy and the view of the outside was great! We had expectations of the room being the same this time but... when we got to our room it was small, the view was terrible and all closed in, hardly any room between the tv cabinet and the bed to walk. I really felt cramped. The beds were small. They looked like double sized beds and we asked for two queensized beds. They were nothing like we had before. I called the front desk and told the lady that the beds looked like double beds and not queen. She said that they didn't have double beds just queen and king. Well, I mesured the bed before I left and when I got home I measured my double bed at home and there wasn't much difference at all! Anyway, I got to thinking about it and felt really uncomfortable and a little angry because that was not what I had asked for or paid for so I called back at the front desk and asked what size beds did the reservation say and she said queen size. I said I just wanted to make sure thinking I had made a mistake. I told her that I was disappointed and would like another room with queen size beds. They gave us another room this time it was better. The room was a little bigger and arranged a bit different and the view was much, much better but the beds were the same. I guess I should of asked for king sized beds but next time I'll know better. Yes, I will go back again. I really do love the hotel and so did the people I was with. I can't expect everything to be as perfect as the first time but I did learn from my experiences and I'll know what to ask for the next time.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 97Friendly Staff
This hotel was lovely from the valet service to the rooftop pool. The room was spotless, the bed extremely comfortable and the service impeccable. I can't speak for everything on the menu, but a late night snack of the club sandwich (with avacado and bacon) was delicious.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 97A Winner in Downtown Houston
This is a great hotel for the money. The location can't be beat; we were there for an event in the theatre district. The rooms were very nice and comfortable; the bed was great! Staff were helpful and friendly. This will be my first choice when I need a room in downtown Houston.
