Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 51Great hotel but beware!!!!
Hotel was great but beware it costs 25 dollars to park overnight and the elevators take forever to arrive and then they are usually full. Best go up with one first to ensure you can get in the lift to go down!!!!!

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 51"Very Disappointed"
I was disappointed with our stay at the Magnolia Hotel. We have a Magnolia Hotel in the Downtown Dallas area which is much classier with covered parking as you drive up, so we expected the same when we arrived in Houston. When we arrived, it was pouring rain and there was no covered parking and we got drenched! The valet guys were soaked, but they did offer umbrellas to take us out of our car, but it was flooding as we stepped out of the car! The valet guys kept the spare key to our car and when we called the hotel, they said they would FedEx it to us, but it took far too long. When we called to find out the status, they said they would call us back and never did. Overall, I expected more for the price we paid and we will probably never stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 51Elevator nightmare
The elevators were slow and also full. Also, if there is a wedding go on forget about get in to the valet to park.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 51Excellent Location
This place was perfect for attending Minute Maid Park to see Astros play. Easy walk to the game. Also, free internet was a plus.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 51Don't be in a hurry at checkout
Checkout is at 11am and there is not enough valet help at that time. You will wait a long time to get an elevator and then again to get your vehicle if you leave anywhere from 10-12

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 51Excellent hotel stay...with the exception of the pool.
While we thoroughly our stay at the Magnolia, we were disappointed in the pool. It was not the small size of the pool that took issue with but rather the cloudy dirty water. The pool did not look like it been treated in a day or two and I would not even think about getting in it. On a brighter note...the cookie and milk buffet was a highlight of the trip for the kids and the hot breakfast buffet was one of the best free buffets that I have ever had!

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 51Very Nice Hotel
The Magnolia in general is a very nice & beautiful hotel. Only downside is the wait time for the elevator and a small pool. They have a good breakfast along with the complimentary drinks at 5:30 and my favorite was the milk and cookies at 8 pm.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 51GREAT PLACE TO STAY/GREAT PRICE
HOTEL WAS GREAT. VERY CLOSE TO MINUTE MAID PARK/TOYOTA CENTER/CONVENTION CENTER. ONLY NEGATIVE WAS THE ELEVATORS TOOK FOREVER. ONE WAS OUT OF SERVICE FOR THE TWO NIGHT WE STAYED THERE. COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS/MILK AND COOKIES WERE GOOD. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 51Outstanding Hotel
Location to Minute Maid Park was great, the morning breakfast was more than we were expecting. Very quiet at night. The third night free made it a very good value.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 51Need a little more attention to details
The television is not accessible to the siting area The towels and robe are very stiff and not soft. The lighting the restrooms are not bright enough for a woman to apply make up. There are not any towel bars, exept in the shower/tub area. For the money spent, you would think attention to the small things would be as important to the big items.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 51Great hotel for the money.
Overall the hotel experience was great. The staff was very courteous and helpful. It was convienent to the areas were visiting (Downtown Aquarium & Space Center) and the restaurants around the hotel were great. I also liked the fact that they were offering continental breakfast which was one less expense we had to make!
