Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 66Would have been fine for a lower end hotel...
Stayed at the Wyndham for 4 nights. Ended up being fairly disappointed with the room I got. I will start off with what I enjoyed about my stay. - Friendly people at the front desk. - Pretty quiet room. - Very close to VTA Light Rail. Here's what I did not enjoy. - Mold in the shower. - Broken drain stop in the bath tub. - Very uncomfortable, worn down beds. - Only 2 outlets that one could use, 1 if you needed coffee. Inconveniently placed as well, as I tend not to use my laptop at the sink. - Very thin sheets. - Housekeeping did not restock my shampoos or soaps when I was out. - TV checkout did not work. - Had to ask for teabags for my room. - No room to iron anything, thanks to the lack of outlets. - Heard the light rail all night. - Unable to get fresh air in my room. - Called the front desk to find a place that delivered to the hotel. Was told I'd be called back, but never was. Had to speak with a manager to get an answer, 2 hours later. - Hotel is not within walking distance of affordable food: only a convenience store and a Denny's. - Heating/cooling controls did not allow for turning off the A/C. October in San Jose...A/C is not really needed. At all. For a Wyndham, I expected a lot better, no matter how much I paid.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 66could be better
Hotel was hosting a dance-a-thon during our stay. The two lobby areas were completely taken over by participants practicing. My husband called from the airport so the shuttle could pick him up. Even though he spoke to a "live" person who verified he was a guest, when I checked for his arrival, I was told he had never called in.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 66Close to the airport but very old.
This hotel is close to the airport but it is very old and in poor shape. The shower made a screaching noice, and you could plainly hear the guests in the room next door.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 66Good price for the area
The good news was a quiet, comforable room. Nothing fancy but certainly met all the qualifications for a good night's rest. Ample parking, not an abundance of extras. I was disappointed that there was no free internet access anf that the businees center computers were operated by credit card (back to the 90's). Also, complimentary coffee would have been nice rather than using the in-room coffee pot and pod. Bottom line - OK for a short stay.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 66Very convenient to the airport
Chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service. We were only there for about 12 hours, so we did not take advantage of any of the hotel's amenities; it's conveniently close to several restaurants (Sushi, Chinese, Japanese Steakhouse and Moroccan). My only somewhat negative comment would be that the rooms could use an update; the decor was pretty old and tired looking. The bed however was comfortable. And someone should tell Wolfgang Puck that the in-room coffee that bears his name is awful!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 66Better than I thought
I read a couple of reviews that did not recommend this Hotel and was hesitant. I am familar with The Wyndham and was surprised and took a chance anyway. I was not disappointed. What I saw of what could be improved was minor, especially compared to the rate I paid. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.
