Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 14Nice rooms..bad service
The hotel is extremely modern in a weird way. Weird sculptures in the lobby and a video of dancers jumping on a trampoline in slow motion in the lobby. Odd blue lighting in hallways. Reminded me of an insane aslyum you'd see in movies. It was easy to get lost as every direction you went looked exactly the same. Beds were really comfy but heater didn't work. Called lobby 3 times for space heater and they never came. Finally on the fourth contact we got one. Fire alarm went off at 2am..we were evacuated but nothing was said of what happened.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 14Hotel From Smelly Hell!
The lift area smelled like a toilet. The king size bed were nothing more than two twins pushed together. The food in the hotel was bad and we had to send the meal back, as well as over priced. The hotel staff were tart! We asked for a box of facial tissue and the staff handed it to us in the hotel lobby, when we asked them to put it in out room the person replied, ''would you like me to carry it on my back!'' Who needs this and they charged us twice for an so called upgrade in our room. Never again!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 14Great for touring and partying
Unique artwork lines the lobby. . . hotel club "Carbon" attracts a young, party crowd -- good DJ, go-go dancers, etc. . . located nearby Marble Arch, a central tourist point. Within a short cab ride to SOHO nightlife. Rooms are a little small but normal size for European hotels. I couldn't have asked for a better place for the price.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 14Love this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel in 2005 and loved it. Because of the location we decided to stay there for our holiday this year. We were unable to get a double so had to take the two single beds and the room was rather small compared to the double we had in 2005. I think for the single beds and the room being so small the price was a bit much. We checked in Christmas day and checked out the day after New Years of which we were charged a higher price for a couple of the nights. I think if you book a place for 8 days the prices of the room should not increase just because you are staying thru a holiday. The price of being able to eat at the hotel is greatly over charged for the food they serve. We were totally shocked to have paid 38.00 pounds for 2 people to eat. That cost us 76.00 in our american money. The majority of the food was barely warm and the tea was not even hot. That part we were not satisfied with. We found it lest costly to eat out at restaurants every meal. Other than that this hotel is great. Very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone. We will stay there if we go to London again, as long as the prices are not so high.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 14Great room for the money
The room was bigger than I expected. I have seen some smaller rooms at other hotels in London. The flat screen helped a lot to give the room a more open feel. However, there isn't any closet space and you'll have to push your luggage off to the corner to walk around the room. As for the bathroom, everytime I turned on the sink for hot water, it would make a deep noise. In the shower, I had to place all my accessories on the floor since there was no stand. The bed was soft and I loved the blankets.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 14Outstanding Location
I had read the reviews of the Cumberland so I was expecting the small rooms and yes they are small. However, the location is outstanding, the service good and the price is right. I will stay again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 14Nice Hotel - Pack Lite
The staff was pretty good. Concierge was great but the Housekeeper could have worked a little harder. The bathroom was not the cleanest but they gave you great Molton Brown bath products! The room was very nice but small. We came to London after visiting Paris so we had a lot of stuff with us. There is a tiny open closet with about 6 hangers in it & no furniture to put clothes away at all. So...we lived out of our suitcases for 3 nights. If you need an alarm clock in your room - bring your own because they do not supply them.
