Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 57Sneaky Parking Fee
Everything was fine except for this fee... 14 dollars for every day parked, even on the weekend. All street parking in the area is metered at a two hour maximum, and guests are told that the meter officers are fierce. The parking fee, therefore, is unavoidable; it increases costs considerably, and is charged by default to whatever card you give them.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 57Solid Hotel, Great Staff,Needs to upgrade the mattresses
I was pleased with the friendly and service-minded staff, and the hotel was very clean. All in all, great value for the money with one important caveat - the mattress was quite poor, and that alone is a deal-killer. It was too firm, and sagged in the middle. Nothing is more important in a hotel room than the mattress!

A friend of mine and myself went into the Alenanders for dinner and were the only ones there and it was approx 7 p.m. after placing out order which was on the menu board as being their speciality it took 45 minutes to get the food and then the mashed potatos were cold and had to bring out more

This is a very nice hotel and it was very convenient for our needs. Our only issue with the hotel was that it appeared that only one of the two hotel elevators for guests was operational, which may not have been an issue, had it not been a long holiday weekend, with several special events being held at the hotel.

We found out they had a shuttle to and from the airport that worked out great. The drivers are all very nice and helpful. Also you can take the shuttle to other locations with in the city. We used it a lot instead of getting a cab which in St Louis you have to call. You can't flag one down like in NYC. Also the computer in the lobby are were great for checking our email etc. The new Metro is only 2 blocks away and worked out great. We didn't have to park but parking is extra there. So with that in mind we would stay there again!!!
