Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 25July 2009 Vacation
this was great. The staff was great. It was very quiet, the pool was nice, the breakfast had a great variety. We stayed an extra night in Galveston at another hotel, and the price was double, the room and pool were gross, and the breakfast was toast and cereal. I would definately stay at the Baymont again. It was great, we werent bothered, and they executed every request that we made very quickly.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 25Our family vacation
we stayed there because it was between houston and galveston. We had to be in both places every day, and it was between the both. I was very surprised that the rooms were super clean, and the pool was great. The breakfast was wonderful. They had a very good variety, and the staff was very helpful. They googled directions for us, and looked up numbers that we could not find. we stayed at the Days Inn Galveston to stay an extra day at the beach, and were really missing the Baymont. We couldnt get out of there fast enough.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 25A little run down
The room was quiet, for being close to a major airport. We had non-smoking rooms, they smelled like smoke. There was some mold in our shower, and the ceiling was coming apart.

This was a pleasantly surprising nice little hotel. Very clean, rooms were clean, staff very friendly, nice pool area. Great place for a few days get away or for a family vacation. I will definitely be staying here again my next trip to Houston,Texas.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 25good hotel, sketchy neighborhood
when first pulling up into the neighborhood, I said oh boy what have I gotten us into. then happily the hotel was nice and clean, and fine. You are out of Houston and for the money it is fine.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 25Needs improvements
We arrived after 9 pm and were required to stand outside in the cold to check in. I assume it is unsafe in the area so they take steps to protect staff but the guest safety is over looked. We asked for a non-smoking room and the room were given was a smoking. During the entire stay I tired to get our room changed and on the last day we were offered a room that was smelly with a dirty bath tub. We did not stay the last night of our vacation because I got so sick after sleeping in the smoking room for two nights.

Smoke in non-smoking room Changed to different room that still smelled like smoke but less. Only in the room from 11:00PM to 7:00AM. I would not want to stay longer.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 25Needs improvement in service and conditions
I booked two rooms in this hotel and I came to regret my choice when I saw what I paid for. The rooms were dirty, there were two holes in one of the bath tubs, and what appeared to be mud on the floor of the bathroom. The bed was hard, which was fine by my standards, but other guests may find it uncomfortable. The service was also a bad experience. When I saw the condition of the rooms, I asked the person at the front desk to exchange them for rooms facing the central "garden" and the pool (also thought it will be quieter, since the highway runs right by the hotel). She changed them for rooms that faced the parking lot, and were in worse condition. When I asked her why she did that, she said she didn't have any facing the central space. The breakfast was alright, not great, but not that bad either. I stayed for two night, but frankly, if I had to stay for longer, I would pay for the first night, swallow the loss, and move to a different hotel. Book at your own risk.

Yes it was a little difficult to find but for the cost of the room, we had a good experience.

other than our room not being ready when we arrived everything else exceeding my expectations for what we paid. It is also in a good location and I will defintley recommend it.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 25Needs Improvement for reservation system
I reserved for 2 bed non-smoking room 2 weeks in advance. When I checked in at 6pm, there is only 1 king bed non-smoking or 2 bed smoking room available. After searched for 10 minutes, the front desk found a room I reserved but made me feel bad during these 10 minutes waiting period.
