Nice, very busy place

This hotel was fine. Our only complaint was the acoustics. We could hear activity in other rooms. Our friends were next to the elevator and could hear people getting on and off.

Avoid the 11th floor

We arrived on a warm afternoon and were put in a stifling hot room on the 11th floor. Even after 3 hours of running the a/c, the room was still unbearable. When I let the management know this was not acceptable, they moved us to a cooler, but smoking room. Finally, the next day, we were moved a second time to a clean, comfortable non-smoking room. The upside was that the staff tried hard to make our stay comfortable and was very helpful with information about local restaurants, directions, etc.

There are 2 sandmans in downtown Vancouver

Don't book the wrong one! This one is on Georgia Street while the other is on Davie Street. The one on Davie is nicer than this one, and is closer to more fun stuff. This hotel is very average in all areas. There isn't anything bad with the experience, but I probably wouldn't stay here again next time.

They couldn't find out reservation when we arrived. It was kindof inconvenient. Once we got checked it everything was fine.

Decent for the monday..

Hotel was over all alright. It only had either air conditioning or heater as an option, no in the middle. The bathroom was clean, but there was some water damage on the ceiling that wasn't very appealing. The remote control didn't work for our television, the price was a little high, but for a weekend not terrible, and it was really really tight. We only stayed one night, so it sufficed. But for longer stays i wouldn't say it was worth it.
