Needs Improvement

Overall the hotel is okay. The non-smoking rooms, does not mean they don't allow people to smoke on the same floor, which gets drafted into the room thru the vents and under the door. This made for a very uncomfortable stay. For the price the rooms were sufficient, very small, but it served it's purpose as a base for daily excursions.

Acceptable, but with a warning

Despite an obstructed view, the room was adequate for the price that we paid. However, the hotel has a "closed in" feel, the immediate neighborhood was marginal, and direct walking routes to the harbor or to the Gas Town area were home to many apparent homeless, including a handful of aggressive panhandlers. While we might stay at the hotel again if necessary, we'd do so only after considering other options elsewhere in Vancouver.

Poor Room Maintenance

Air Conditioner did not work and when informed, hotel management did not have it serviced properly to correct problem. A/C only recirculate 76-78 high humidity air during 48 hr. stay.
