Great Room

We wanted to stay close to all the places we wanted to visit. It was a bit far from Gas town and canada place. However, the hotel room and the price was great so I didnt mind walking a little more. Its a little old, the sink tap in the bathroom soaked my shirt everytime i turned it on :). But over all not bad for the price and location, i would stay here again.

Great hotel for the money we paid

When I booked this hotel, I was not sure what to expect. I didn't want to spend for couple of nights too much and for me is always important the location. It is not a 5* hotel, but price, location and room was really good. If you want to find something simple in the nice location - this would be great choice. me and my boyfriend Both liked this place! If I could find somethig like that in each town we stayed - it would be just amazing!

Good Location but not very comfortable

The hotel location is really good. Directly at Robson Street in Downtown Vancouver and also close to Stanley Park. The view from one of the upper floors is also great. But still the hotel did not meet our expectations. It's quite old and the rooms would need some renovation to get them up to date. The breakfast in the (nice) restaurant on the top floor was also nothing special. If we wouldn't have got coupons for that we would have gone there. Considering what we had to pay for our rooms the hotel didn't meet our expectations. All in all: Next time we would choose another hotel.

Great Choice

This hotel was very nice. It is older but it looked good, it was clean and comfortable. The views are amazing and the best view of all is the revolving restaurant on the top floor. The hotel staff were very helpful with everything we needed to find in the city. I would definately stay here again.

Outstanding Hotel

Beautiful place, pet friendly, our dogs loved it there. Staff is wonderful and close to shops, food and Stanley Park - great location.

Great hotel for the price

It's not the most modern of hotels, but at this price, who cares? The best thing about this place (besides the location and the great staff) is the view. We recommend a higher floor. You get a great view of the downtown area, and the surrounding mountains and water.

Needs Improving

The hotel was decent, it just did not meet my expectations. It is a worn hotel, with chips and scuffs in the details. It was clean, and it had a fitness room and jacuzzi. We tried the breakfast buffet, and I did not think that the food was that good, and by the time I got to my seat with it, it was tepid at best. My expectations were higher because of the location, and because with the Olympics coming very soon, I would have thought they would be stepping up their game.

Great Hotel

The hotel was great. Huge room. Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants and stores in the area. Grocery also near by. Very close to Stanley park. The bike rental place a block down was great. It would be outstanding if the parking and business center were free.

great location and very friendly hosts. access to vending machines was limited till 10 pm, so that was a bit of an issue. Otherwise it was a great stay, great view and very friendly and professional staff.

Another Option

The hotel was fine for one night and would be okay for a few more. Its right on Robson Street near all the life of downtown, but you are a distance from the tourist districts including Gastown, Yaletown and Chinatown, as well as the Edgewater Casino, Canada Place, etc. However, with so much life on Robson street you will hardly notice that you walked a mile or so to get to these districts. We had a great view of downtown with no obstructions which gave it some appeal. The price we paid to stay there was suitable. The Edgewater Casino has one of its regular stops at this hotel which makes it convenient. So if you find yourself all over downtown and decide you want a complimentary drive back to your hotel, take a short cab ride to the casino and hop on the shuttle. They also have a rotating restaurant/observation deck at the top of the tower, but it is very pricey to eat in there.
