Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 12Convenient location and very helpful staff
What a charming and reasonable price for our Paris experience. The breakfast was included in the price of the room and made the start of our day a lot easier. The restaurant owner was quite a character and very hospitable. Doing all the Paris and surrounding tourist sites was made all the more easier by taking the metro located right outside the hotel. Excellent experience and would definitely stay there again. Tanya

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 12Great Price. Terrible Location
Pay a little more and stay somewhere else. We spent most of what we saved on cabs.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 12Great value for Paris
The subway terminal is literally right out side the front door (Bercy station on the 14 or 6 train). For the price we paid and knowing the Paris is a little more expensive we were satisfied with this pick. Breakfast was free and our only problem was we had a tub instead of a shower and not all rooms were like ours. However, this would not keep us from staying there in the future.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 12Charming little hotel
We started our 10 European vacation in Paris at this hotel. What a little gem. The location is great. It is directly in front of the Bercy metro stop (lines 6 and 14). You can explore the whole city from there. The neighborhood is the 12th district. This is a mostly residential and business district, but there is a large sports arena near by and the Bercy train station that will take you to all locations in Italy. We found many local cafes and restaurants to eat at. The hotel itself was so charming. Our room was typically European in size... small. But it was very clean, with a good size bathroom, cable TV that included Canal +, large windows that provided a nice breeze, and my favorite part, wooden beams cross the ceiling. So cute! We loved this hotel and would stay again for sure!

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 12Great Hotel
We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and was overal very happy with the hotel. The price and location cant be beat. Its two stops out on the metro from Chalet station which is two blocks from Notre Dame. It takes no more then 10 minutes to get to the heart of Paris on the metro and the Bercy station is 20 feet from the door. The hotel staff was very nice and spoke english and even had cold beer for sale in the evening, the free breakfast was perfect, very european, cheese, hard/soft boiled eggs, coffee, bread etc etc. The room was on the small side but still very comfortable with a large bathroom. I would stay there again without a second thought.

Could not have been easier. Got off the train and walked 31 meters right to the hotel. Check in was a breeze. Rooms are typically European - small, comfortable, and not meant for lounging (that's what the cafe's are for). Within moments we were out and about Paris. Previous reviews were accurate and VERY helpful. We'll be back.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 12Not three stars
This hotel might have been 1.5 stars in the United States. Rooms are tiny, absolutely no amenities. Price was reasonable, except for the quality of the room. Good location, 50 feet from the metro.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 12Great Stay!
Our overall stay was enjoyable at Hotel Claret. The staff are very nice and helpful. If I stayed here again I would ask for a room that does not face Blvd de Bercy because the train station was right there, however, when the window was closed completely the sound was pretty much gone. In the summer it would be hard to sleep in the room with the window open. There is no air conditioning in many of the rooms. The room was very small but that is typical of Paris hotels. We did not eat in the restaurant.
