Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 18Hotel personnel should become more knowledgeable
My overall hotel experience was ok. The room was nice. However, the front desk staff, had no clue to anything that i asked for. I was told i would have to pay an additional $50. I asked why, the clerk (Paule) was not sure herself on why and could not explain thoroughly. The housekeeper explained to me in more detail why i wpuld have to pay an additional $50. If i use anything in the room.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 18Good hotel for the price in good location
Our stay at this hotel was pretty good with the exception of a few things upon arrival. Our sheets had hair all over them, but the hotel staff responded immediately without question to have them changed and were apologetic. They had given us a key that didnt work, so my husband went back downstairs to replace it- but they wouldnt give it to him without talking to me first since his name wasnt on the reservation- even though his ID shows we have the same last name and home address. They claimed "we could have been in a fight or something". The hotel is in a good location in Dupont circle with many shops and restaurants nearby and a close walk to the metro to go to other areas of DC. So overall, even with a few hiccups, it was not a bad experience.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 18Great place, great price
Booking online was easy. Once there, service and accomodations were excellent. Great location, steps away from transportation and attractions.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 18No place to sit outside; no A/C in lobby.
The only place to sit outside is in an area adjacent to the pool. Unfortunately, although the pool area can be locked, the nice sitting area with umbrella-tables is not accessible unless a pool guard is on duty. That is management's policy. This is annoying because there's a locked gate into the pool section of the outdoor area. What all this means is that one can't sit outside, have coffee, and read the paperin the morning -- before 10:00 am when the pool opens. And... the A/C in the lobby near the coffee is minimal.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 18Great hotel but no drapes
I had a pleasant and drama-free stay at the Courtyard. My only "complaint" is a minor one. There were no draperies in our room. When my friend called the desk, he was told that all of the rooms were without drapes because the order had not arrived before the opening of the hotel. Other than that, things were fine. The rooms are a little small and we were given a queen instead of a king bed. But minor infractions really. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the room was neat, clean and attractively decorated. It was money well spent.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 18Outstanding Hotel
This hotel was amazing. The service, location, and appearance of the hotel was great. Compared to other hotels' prices, the Courtyard Marriott was not only cheaper but it was much more convenient to everything I needed. It's about a quarter of a mile from the nearest metro and a half a mile from a large number of restaurants, shops, and bars. It was everything I needed!!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 18Nice for the Price
Friends in D.C. invited me down from Philly for an impromptu trip - booked this hotel 1-week prior to traveling strictly for the room. Was surprised to find a good deal within that time frame and was very pleased. Also arrived before check-in time and they had no problem providing a room (didn't have my preference of one King size bed, but hey, I was early so took the two double bed option that was ready...) There was coffee in the lobby at all times but didn't get a chance to check out the food. Pleasant staff and was oddly impressed at the remodeled bathrooms that allowed a lot of options and spaces to hang towels/washcloths! Random note: there are one-way streets around the hotel and when you pull up to the luggage drop-off you'll feel like you're driving onto a deck.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 18Great hotel
This was a great hotel, with a great location! The only thing that we didn't like about the hotel was the food and the fact that you had to pay for parking. The food was over priced and lacking in variety and flavor and parking was expensive. But, the hotel staff was wonderful, polite and very helpful! I will stay there again!!
