Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 32Cheap repairs
Room size was pretty decent and conveniently located at poolside. Overall stay was somewhat satisfied except for the obvious cheap repairs done. Needs real professional repair done.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 32Great hotel that allows pets
We love to stay here. Our first stay was during the 2007 Southern California wildfires. Shilo was so nice, they threw a picnic for all of the evacuees. They allow our little dog, the pool is nice, the continental breakfast is great. We've been back several times since and will continue to visit this hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 32Loved the Inn
We were very pleasantly surprised with Shilo Inn. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, well maintained and the view of the mountains surrounding the Inn is breathtaking. Customer service at the front desk was very accomadating. They are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a happy one. The room was immaculate, large and well appointed. A continental breakfast is served from 6 am to 10 am which is nice. There is security in the parking lot and the grounds are well lit. The rates are fantastic, and you won't be disappointed.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 32Great Hotel
We had one of the best Mothers day vacations. The room was located next to the kids pool and was very relaxing. Will stay here everytime we visit Palm Springs.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 32Palm Springs feel on a budget
We stayed at the Shilo Inn suites for a family getaway on May 1st, and it was an overall positive experience. The rooms were modestly priced, yet gave an "above average" feel, if you've been to a number of low- to mid-range family hotels. Rooms were clean, spacious (no problem of adding an extra bed when the kids didn't want to share the queen), staff was very helpful, breakfast was OK (and included), and the pools nice. The hotel is laid out nicely around a relatively large courtyard with pools and green areas, which creates a laid-back feel. (Although it was OK with two separate pool areas, I was not so happy that I had to stay in the shallow children's pool with my kids, as no children were allowed in the adults' pool area (which is, I guess, nice if you're traveling without kids...). Our only problem was the heat. We didn't want to keep the (somewhat loud) AC running at night, nor to keep the door to the street open to let the air flow through. Some of us couldn't sleep due to the heat and lack of fresh air. This could be solved either by installing silent AC, or - more eco friendly - to allow natural air flows (from balcony door to street entrance) by installing an extra security door (with bars or something more decorative), or to have a window in the bathroom. Or simply install a more effective bathrom vent, which would pull the air through the room from the balcony door. I would probably go again, but would bring ear plugs, and let the AC run. Although I'm a fan of natural ventilation.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 32ran out
I asked for the creamer, the guy said ran out. I requested for the towels, the guy said ran out of towels. I requested for the more pillows, the guy said ran out. The next day around 6:45 am I went to get my coffee, there is no creamer and the guy said ran out of creamer.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 32Great place to stay
You never know what you are going to get when book a hotel you've never been to before. The hotel was great. Like other reviewers had stated, they did have ice cold water available at the counter (for a small fee) and free cookies at the counter as well for the guests. They offered free continental breakfast. Nothing fancy-danishes, muffins, cereal, yogurt, coffee & juices. The room was great. Tile floors. We were on the ground floor, which had a sliding door to the grounds a short distance from the pools. The patio area had chairs and a table for us to use as well. They had 2 pools (heated)-one for adults and one for children. We had a great stay, with no problems what so ever. Our two small children loved it there. We will definitely be back again.
