Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 104Deserves 3 1/2 stars
Shilo deserves at least 3 1/2 stars. For the money it's a bargain and more than what we expected. As cyclists, we appreciated the bike paths outside he hotel doors and rode downtown for brunch each day.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 104decent room
decent room, seems recently upgraded. Our patio however overlooked the roof of the lobby and the shower did not seem to work properly. The shower seemed more like a waterfall (really thin one), making it difficult to wash off after hiking around Joshua Tree and the tram area all day.

THE REFRIGERATOR DID NOT WORK, THE TOLIET MADE A TERRIBLE NOISE, AND THE SHOWER DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE MAID SERVICE WAS POOR ONLY LEAVING ONE TOWEL AND NO BATH MAT FOR TWO PEOPLE. THE STAFF WAS UNFRIENDLY AND NOT HELPFUL WITH INFORMATION. HOWEVER THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND ROOM NICE AND LARGE AND COMFORTABLE

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 104It's the Shilo Suites, not the Four Seasons
This hotel served it's purpose...a clean, quiet room, swimming pools and free breakfast. It is easy to find with a convenient location near food, attractions and shopping. I had a couple if issues upon arrival (TV had no remote and there were no bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths or bath mat in the room) but the staff was quick to rememdy the situation. I was happy to see that there were two pools...an adult pool and a family pool. Since I have no children it was wonderful to be at a pool that was quiet, mostly splash free and had no Marco Polo games happening. Well worth the money and exactly what I expected. I'll see you next time.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 7 of 104Great room for the money
The rates were perfect for the weekend, cheaper than almost any other motel/hotel in the area. Because of this, we weren't expecting much but was pleasently surprised. The rooms were very clean and updated, the pool was clean, and the food was very good considering it was a continental breakfast. The free wireless offered was hit and miss, often times there were connection problems while surfing the internet and the hotel staff was VERY slow getting us checked in. Otherwise, great stay and I would pay to stay there again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 104Stay at the Shilo Inn
The room needing airing out because of an undetermined smell. After opening the slider the smell was gone. I believe it was from the wall A/C. The room was large and accomadating for any length of stay with a kitchen. Just be sure when you check in to verify the room you want. The location was great and the bed was comfy too.

Nice comfortable bed. Nicely decorated. Air conditioner a little noisy and no instructions on how to use. Room cleaning could have been better. Did not clean coffee pot. The door on closet did not work. Staff responsive to needs.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 12 of 104Needs work
Upon arrivial our room was a steamy 90+ degrees, wanting to get to sleep because it was 12AM we cranked up the A/C and found that the A/C was hardly strong enough to keep the room cool. At around 4 A.M. we finally fell asleep when the room cooled to about 80 degrees. I did ask for another room after arrival and the front desk told us they turn the A/C off in all rooms when guests are not booked. I would have though that they would have at least turned it on a few hours before we arrived. Secondly I found a sulfer stench filled the room around 6 A.M. so strong that it woke me from a strong somber. Overall we will not stay there again, the room was in poor condition and we found for just a little more money we could have stayed at a real hotel where they care for the guests.

The air conditioning was loud; the parking can be tight if it is crowded. I was there mid week and there was no crowd. The pool area was nice, but the pool is only 4.5 feet deep. The place is a good value for the money.
