we really like the room the bed was a little uncomfofatable but the flat screened tv was really nice and the view of the ocean was beautiful room service was good casino smaller than other casinos but the room with the view and good food good maid service made our stay very plasant

Great room for the money

This was my first time at the Showboat. The furniture showed it age and needs to be updated. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There were two broken and cracked lamp shades in the room and when I reported it to the front desk one of the shades was replaced immediatley although both should have. The buffet was good and also the Manison Cafe had a 3.99 burger platter which was great for children, they both served good food. I liked the fact that the fitness center was free to guests and that the elevators arrived at our floor quickly and never crowded. The hotel was family friendly and the location was great because the amusements were close by. They provided a free shuttle service to take you to other casinos and to the outlets for shopping. I would stay there again and I have recommended this hotel to others.

Mixed Review

We stayed in a special HOB suite which was a spectacular and unusual layout. However, we found that the room was really not very livable. There was nowhere in the room except on the bed with sufficient light to read. There was a very nice entertainment center but it dominated everything. There was no window to the outside which was disconcerting. There was no in room coffee pot. On the second day we left our room at 10:30 taking down the privacy sign and returned at 4:30 to find the room had not been made up. I was told they were changing shifts and could not send anyone up until after 5. When I called again at 5:30 they did send a pleasant maid who did a good job. We did not realize that the Showboat was so far at one end of the Boardwalk that other attractions were far away.

Nice Surprise

I recently stayed at a timeshare in Atlantic City and in comparison to my stay at The Showboat, I must say the regular hotel was exceedingly more comfortable and enjoyable. There were mini refrigerators in the room which allowed me to bring snacks (which are always appreciated when travelling with children).

i had a good time at showboat i would recomend for anyone looking for a hotel/ casino that is family friendly showboat is the place to be..... the show was great also

Understaffed

The hotel was extremely crowded and there was not enough staff to keep things running smoothly. A beer bottle sat in an elevator for 2 1/2 days, dirty room service trays sat in the hall for many hours, that sort of thing. Breakfast at the Mansion Cafe was trying - between a long wait for a table and not the friendliest of service. We did have a very good dinner at the Italian restaurant (Casa Napoli)with excellent service. The outdoor pool was too small for that size of a hotel.

Nice casino hotel

We have stayed here before and are very satisfied with this hotel. We stayed in the newer rooms which are very nice. I would recommend staying here.
