some small gripes

Nice, clean room at a reasonable price. The knob on the A/C unit was broken and turned with no effect on temperature. Only after removing the knob and turning the shaft with my Leatherman pliers was I abel to control the unit. The refrigerator temp control knob was missing and the fridge was unplugged. After plugging it in, there was no way to tell which way to turn the shaft to lower the temp.

Decent room, clean. Pretty much got what I needed...clean room, decent bed and shower, wireless, and a flat screen TV.

Outstanding room for the money

The room was very clean with nice furnishings and great bedding. You can't beat the price! Continental breakfast was very nice and staff kept things stocked.

You Get What You Pay For

For San Jose the rate was very reasonable. We asked for a quiet room and with the air conditioning unit humming we never heard a jet even though we were right in the flight path. Breakfast was simple like all La Quintas but quite doable. I'm not a big breakfast person. There is a Burger King next door open til midnight on the drive thru if you want something after hours. The TV had poor reception but I wasn't there to watch TV. The location right off 101 was perfect and has easy access. The staff was exceptional, even giving me strapping tape for my box I acquired and needed to pack.

Fine for what we needed

Bring tape! I was lucky, I happened to bring packing tape and used it to tape the curtains to the wall beneath the window so I could actually feel the cold air coming out of the air conditioner. Otherwise - it simply fills up the drapes like a balloon and does not cool the room. I am very short so the low shower head was not a problem - but if you are over 5'5" it may be a problem. Convenient location, felt safe, enjoyed the pool, nice people work here, long one mile walk to decent food and light rail. I wish there was a market closer or something other than BK - but it was fine for what we needed.

Close to the airport; easy access and reasonably priced. Clean

Okay stay... nothing special

This hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The room was okay. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a refrigerator to use. The shower head was so low it was difficult to wash my hair (I am 5'9). Breakfast was very basic. Friendly front desk staff. Overall an okay experience but not really what I expected from La Quinta...
