Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 12Fantastic Hotel. Looks New!
This hotel is by far the nicest (even over the Hilton) in FtLauderdale. Continental breakfast was included! Entire staff is excellent. The hotel looks new . . very Soho. Only downside is no ice in the full size refrigerator in the room . . and no ice machine that I could find. Also - they dont use fitted sheets on the bed, so the sheet wouldn't stay in place.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 12Outstanding Hotel
Very nice accommodations. I was suprised how nice for the money I spent. I would definitely recommend to anyone going there and I will stay there again. The room was beautiful and modern and clean. The hotel staff was very accommodating.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 12Great Rate---Great Place
I am seasoned traveler and I will say that the rooms at the Il Lugano were fantastic. 3 times larger than a standard hotel room. I was in town for an entire week on business and it made the time away from home easier. Great beds, beautiful view over the intercoastal. Great patio too, plenty of room to dry my dive gear. The mandatory valet parking was a little cheesy, i use it but I think it should be an option anywhere you stay. I will definately stay here again.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 12Very nice except parking
Hotel was great, not real happy with the parking situation. $25 per day to park or feed the meters every 3 hours from 8am-6pm ($.50/hour)

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 12Super Room Accomodations
Great Hotel Accomodations. Very friendly hotel attendants. Near enough from bars and restaurants, by means of cabs or usage of hotel limousine service.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 12Nice Hotel But Parking fees $25.00 per night
Very nice new hotel, Service was excellent, greeted in professional mannor. Beds were very comfortable. Great location. Parking is valet only and is $25.00/night. I decided to park at a meter in front of the hotel which is only monitored from 8am to 6pm. I was on the beach and cruzing fort lauderdale all day anyway so I just parked at the meter. But had to be there to feed the meter by 8am.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 12Fantastic Hotel. Just needs new hiring manager.
The hotel is really nice. New, contemporary, extremely comfortable in terms of furnishings and bed. My room was a 1 BR apt and it was perfect. The only issue I have with this hotel is the way some of their people treat the guest. The front desk and bell staff act as if they are doing you a favor when you ask a question or make a request. When I arrived, the arrival experience was poor. When I told the front desk, it fell on deaf ears. So if they can just teach their staff (most of them anyway) how to be nice to guests, everything really will be perfect. One exception that has to be noted...their housekeeping staff was courteous and very effective.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 12This hotel is AWESOME!!!!
The hotel is very close to the beach, close to a few bars, restaurants, & shopping. My hotel room had a washer & dryer, full-sized refrigerator, two flat screen TVs with DirectTV and a dishwasher. They have their own private boat to rent, private pool & jacuzzi & a little man-made beach on their property. They have a brand new gym & soon they'll have a restaurant. Each room has a full-sized balcony. And they offer free shuttle service in a 3-5 mile radius of the hotel via new Cadillac Escalades. I loved this hotel!!!!!

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 12Very Hip Oversized Suites and Over the top service
As a business traveler I was thrilled to find a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale that was close to everything I wanted...fine dining, downtown, Las Olas... But also on the intra coastal waterway, accessible by boat (or you can use theirs) right across from the beach, and close enough, but also far enough, from the maddening crowd. The rooms are very hip, huge modern suites,(feels more like a condo) brand new and stunning, with balconies and every amenity you could need or want. The staff was attentive to my every need and provided me with the kind of personal concierge service you just don't find these days. When I returned to the hotel after working, I felt as if I were returning home to my own private domain with my own butler! I would highly recommend this hotel for business travel and leisure for those who expect bit more!
