Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 38Great hotel - free wine reception!
Very spacious rooms. Free wine reception every evening. Good location for the sights. Only negative - noisy over the weekend though as lots of functions in the hotel. Walls seemed a bit thin!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 38Great stay
I spend 4 nights in the Palomar Hotel, and it was a great place to stay in. The Bar is elegant and the drinks are not expensive at all... The staff is very nice and helpfull and the decoration of the hotel is pretty design. I loved the colors inside, peacefull place.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 38Beware of hidden costs
Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. The size of our room was ideal and spacious. Decor is current and modern. Free wine and appetizers in the lobby every evening. All in all, a pleasant weekend. Two negatives: 1) our room had a stale smoke smell to it, like it had been a smoking room at one point but they couldn't get rid of the stench. 2) My sisters and I met in DC and had two cars between us. Upon checkout, we were handed a $155 bill for parking (we stayed 2 nights). We had no idea parking was so much money and would probably have stayed elsewhere if we had. Hope this helps.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 38Great Service, Good Hotel
The service at the Hotel Palomar is excellent. We were in DC after a biking and camping trip in West Virgina. The Hotel helped us wash and store our bikes. They also allowed us to leave baggage at the hotel several days prior to checking in. All staff, from the front door man, reception, concierge, and restaurant staff were all very nice and accommodating (even when we arrived covered in mud and grim from the bike trip. We stayed in a suite that was very comfortable and clean. It was just what we needed after being in the wilderness for 3 days. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is also very convenient.

This is a great hotel. I've stayed her twice and enjoyed it both times. Definitely worth the money. Not a bad price for the quality.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 38Good Hotel
I thought that the hotel was very nice. It seemed maybe a little expensive for the room. I thought it would have been a bigger room by the pictures. I was also charge an extra charge after I left and when I called to ask why they had no response. But the whole overall experience was not bad.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 38Wonderfully Contemporary
From the valet service to checking out, everything was luxurious, well-coordinated and clean. The rooms are exactly as pictured. They offer may toiletries incase you forgot anything. There was no ice machine on the 8th floor, but it was easy to get ice from the second floor. They held my bags safely and gleefully when I was early for check in and obtained my car quickly for checkout. Beds comfy. Bathroom clean and marble. Animal print robes available to wear and to buy if you choose. Room for guests to sit without using the bed. I only had a view of the parking lot, but that is to be expected in this metropolitan setting. Convenient walk to various restaurants, clubs, drug stores, gas station (of course you wouldn't walk if you needed gas, though). Pet friendly! Will stay in Kimpton hotels every chance I get now

I enjoyed the hotel: the room service was tasty and timely, the beds comfy, and its a great location. Its just too noisy. We listened to the very loud love birds next door all night. Shame - because it could be a really great hotel.
