Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 59Excellent Location, but...
First Kimpton hotel that I found to be below expectation. Too many pieces of furniture for a very tiny space. The Airconditioning unit was very loud when it came on or went off. Some of the lights in the room did not work. The internet connection was very poor, unreliable and intermittent. Worst of all, hotel staff gave me a wake up call that was not requested and through off my entire day's schedule. Same thing happened to my colleague in the next room. Checkout took 20 minutes even though I had zero balance.

The Hotel Palomar in Washington DC is the best hotel I've stayed in. It's now become my home away from home. Whenever I have to travel to DC for business or pleasure, I will be staying there. I'm addicted!

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 59The furnishings put a smile on your face
This is the first time I've stayed at a hotel of this quality that had a leopard theme, and it's just quirky enough for me to encourage others to experience. I greeted with amusement the leopard-print throw that was draped over the bed, the leopard-print pajamas and robe hanging in the closet and what I think was supposed to be a carry-over of the theme in the design of the carpet. It was amusing without being tacky, and I truly felt like I was in a mid- upscale hotel.
