Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 13good room for the money
The room was good and if you play your cards right you can keep your car keys( they have double spaces on one side of the parking lot) right on the beach with a heated pool it turned cool the last day we were there so the pool was a better option than the ocean. continental breakfast left alot to be desired but there is a dunkin' just down the street.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 13Needs improved parking!
The Office area of the hotel is very nice, the rooms are not exactly as I expected. I chose a efficiency and 2 double beds. What I got was 2 double beds and a mini refrigerator and a microwave. The parking is terrible, you park and someone can park behind you, but they need to leave their keys in the office so they can move the vehicle so you can leave. There is also a charge to park your car in the hotel parking area, that I did not know about until check-out. The room was very clean and the pool was nice. The rooms are extremely loud from the housekeeping carts and basically anyone going onto the beach with their vehicle (stereos. Hotel staff was also very helpful.

The room was not very clean, we were right by the elevator and the stairs. All we heard all night were doors being slammed shut and people talking and yelling. Parking was awful, you had to leave your keys so that they could move your car to let other people get out and you had to pay $5. The only good part of this stay was that we were right on the beach. We will not stay at this motel again.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 13Hotels.com not specific enough about hotel
The descriptions of what amenities the rooms had were not specific enough to make an informed decision about what room we wanted. It wasn't until we arrived at the hotel that we found out, not all hotel room selections were available on hotels.com web site, but were available at the hotel. If I am contracting for a hotel room at hotels.com, I shouldn't have to contact a hotel to find out ANY additional information. Hotels.com should have it all. And in the case of a discrepancy between pricing, hotels.com should promptly refund unearned commissions, which in this case, they did. As for hotel rating, the Boardwalk Inn & Suites was on par with the rating. There were good things about the hotel and so-so things about it. Would we go back? Being former residents of the area, probably not. We know we could've paid less and got more somewhere else. We wanted to give this hotel a chance.

I called to reserve one room, then my oldest daughter decided to go so I called to reserve a second room. They told me to just tell them at the hotel when I got there. When I got there they overcharged me!!! The hotel desk clerk was very rude! The room was ok but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 13Good deal for the money
The room was clean and bathroom was very updated and clean. The only issue was parking (very small and not enough spaces) some cars were parked at another location.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 13This place charges for parking.
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. However, this place charges $5.00 per day to park your car when you are staying the night. I have never paid to park my car at any hotel. They charge you at the end of your stay. Paid for ocean view and had a room that looks out to the bars.

Decent hotel, if you don't expect a lot.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 13Stay Somewhere Else!
Even for the discount rate, the room was only fair. There was no response to several requests for towels. The nights were loud and sleep was all but impossible even at 3 am. Parking was a nightmare! Most of the time the attendant required that we leave our keys at the desk because of the double parking situation. We travel extensively during the summer, and have never felt the need to leave a bad commentary... but do yourself a favor.. stay somewhere else!

All beach hotels take a beating, but this one needs a little TLC. We were trying to find a relatives home which is located about 4 blocks from the hotel. Front desk staff had no idea which way was north or south and no interest in helping us go over our map. Parking is a nightmare.
