loved hotel, parking an issue

We loved the cozy room and the convenience to go to Music Hall. Our only complaint was that we didn't know the parking situation ahead of time and it cost an extra $18 plus tipping the valet. That was an expense we hadn't factored in.

Great Historic Hotel

Awesome Art Deco Hotel. Great Service. Make sure you get a tour of the hotel to enjoy the history. Location was great very close to Power and Light and many great restaurants. I don't recommend the Hotel's "12 Baltimore" restaurant - the food was average and you can do better for the money, although the service was great. We will stay there again. I recommend it.

Not that Cool

Great Location but this place is not as "pawsh" as it seems to claim. Ice only on certian floors and room service took 45 minutes. Did not have the Aveda products it advertised and the robes have been around for too long.

Great Location

Excellent hotel to the Power and Light District in Downtown KC. Also the perfect location to stay if you are headed to the Sprint Center. Convenient parking, self park a block away! I highly recommend this hotel. A beautiful old hotel that has been refurbished! Enjoyed the stay!

Very nice and close to Power & Light District

It was a quiet and nice hotel and only a block or two from all the nice restauarants and hot spots.

Great location, comfy room!

This was our second time staying at the hotel, and just like the last time, we enjoyed it and it was a great hotel. The front desk staff are nice, the valet is good, and the rooms are very spacious and comfy for 2 people. The location is another reason we love this hotel. It's literally a $4 cab ride to the power and light district!! Very convenient!!

From the moment we arrived we felt well cared for by the staff, they were very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending and helping us find our way to restaurants and attractions. Loved the art decco style of the hotel. Location was very convenient, we walked everywhere except to the Blue Room on 18th and Vine. The hotel is really beautiful, I recommend asking for a tour. My only complaints - the bathtub finish was coming off. We had problems with the on-demand movie system - had their engineer come up to the room and it almost worked then... we just gave up on it. The restaurant "12 Baltimore" was a disappointment. Service was good, but the food was cold, not great, and expensive. I recommend eating elsewhere - there are a lot of restaurants in the area that are better.

Great room for money

We checked in late and were upgraded to a king bed with sitting area. It was extremely nice. The room was clean.

Good Hotel

Hotel was very nice. Very up scale looking in and out. Nice old fixtures and trim. Bathroom is very small but did not bother me. The windown are original and in bad shape but they have been covered by a new interior storm window. Overall the updating of the room was done very well. Bedding was plush and very comfortable. Very ritsy feel tot eh place, lots of high end cars and people pulling up and walking around. Extremely great stay for the price! Great place, would return anytime.
