The Fairfax at Embassy Row, Starwood Luxury Collection

The Frette Linens made for a luxurious night's sleep!

All the extra touches at this hotel made this an incredible two night stay! From the robes to the delicious chocolates to the luxurious sheets and duvet, it was over the top. The staff was incredible as well, every door was opened and you were greeted by many staff everywhere you went. This should be a five star qualification.

Excellent price and location

The location on Massachushetts Ave (Embassy Row) was ideal since the area is perfect for a beautiful walk past many embassies and about two blocks from a Metro station.It is also near some very good restuarants.

Great hotel unfortunately my daughter's ipod got stolen

The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice! However, my daughter's ipod was stolen while we left it in the room to go sightseeing. They also got the food order wrong and didn't offer to fix it.....ordered pasta without sauce and got it with sauce. The comment I received when I called room service to correct the order was "the person who took order and the person who cooked it had a miss communication and there is not too much sauce on the pasta so it should be okay". My daughter did not eat it and had only a glass a milk. I would recommend that whoever stays here lock up all their expensive belongs in the safe.

Great Location, nice hotel

Really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was very helpful and professional. The rooms were nicely appointed. The bathrooms were a little small, but updated. The location is near restaurants, shopping and the Metro line.

Excellent!

Charming and delightful! Beautiful and impeccably clean room. ALL the staff was courteous and friendly; the concierge was especially helpful. The Fairfax is near Dupont Circle and only 2 blocks from the Metro. Every morning I stepped out the front door, turned right, and there was a Starbucks half a block away. When it was time to check out, we needed our lugguage stored until later in the day. It was whisked away from our room, and we received a receipt for each bag. The Fairfax is a gem!

Wonderful spot

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the first time last weekend and we had a wonderful time! I agree with all the positive reviews I read and I wanted to add that the service was exceedingly friendly and helpful. There is street parking in the area where some of my family parked and it was perfectly safe, but we chose to park at the hotel which was $30 a night and also fine. If you don't mind walking, the mall is only about a 15-20 minute walk away and it is close to some great little restaurants All in all, I will stay here again and tell others about it.

Good Staff, Nice Location, Small Rooms

The staff was professional, friendly and accomodating. Our room was small but clean and well supplied. Consierge gave us excellent dinner recommendations. Only slight "negative" was that the fold out bed was not comfortable and the room is very small. The king bed was very comfortable and the location was very good.

Outstanding Hotel

The hotel was perfect with 2 girls (10,9) in tow -- with very friendly and accommodating staff. The Fairfax is near Dupont Circle and within walking distance of all the historical sites, museums and galleries.

beautiful hotel, excellent service

The staff at the Fairfax couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming, especially considering they were juggling a large wedding party at the time of our check in. The room was spotless & very luxurious. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the Metro, across the street from the wonderful Phillips Collection and near many good restaurants. We will definitely be returning.
