Great hotel, great price, lousy mattress

Great hotel, fabulous location and terrific price but mattress was worn out and listing to one side.

My favorite Washington DC Hotel

This is a very nice place to stay. The staff is cordial and remembers me as I visit DC approximately once a month. The rooms are attractive and the location is super.

Great Hotel

The only complaint we had was that the beds were a little hard (the couple we travelled with had the same complaint) but it was a lovely hotel.

Great Last Minute Deal

I was heading to DC for a swim meet and had to make last minute reservations. A team mate of mine booked his reservations weeks prior and was going to end up paying $20 more than what I paid. The Fairfax Embassy Row was an extremely nice hotel and in a very convenient location to local shops, the metro and all that Dupont Circle has to offer.

overpriced

was not informed until too late that there is a $38.00 per day car parking fee. Had a bathroom fan and hall light thet didn't work and were not addressed after reporting the problems Had only enough bathroom supplies for one person, while it was booked as double occupancy.

Great Hotel

Staff was unbelievable. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Room was great, very clean and nice. Great Location! Will stay there again!

A wonderful hotel...

This is a wonderful hotel, in a quiet location, very close to the Phillips collection and to Dupont Circle, and with a number of interesting sidewalk cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance, just around the corner. The room I stayed in was comfortable and pleasing to the eye, with many thoughtful amenities. A minor tip: if you are bringing more than one wireless device (iPod, iPhone, computer) and expect to use more than one of these in the room or the hotel, know that despite the suggestion in hotel literature that the charge of $10 per diem for wireless service is per room, it is actually per device.

Fantastic experience

Beautiful, well maintained facility. Staff was plentiful, friendly and helpful. No double bedded rooms available when I booked the room, but the staff went out of their way to find one for us. Easy walk (2 blocks) to Dupont circle Metro stop. Lots of fine restaurants and bars in the area. Would be perfect if they had a pool!

Nice Room -- Difficult/Expensive Parking

Excellent room and service, but street parking was tough, and valet was a bit pricey.
