Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 22Great Staff and Location
We stayed 8 nights and loved it. The Bistro for breakfast and the informal dining at The Rodeo Bar was very good. The location is ideal for other eateries and bars as well and for visitng the famous 6th Floor Museum. The best part wa the staff- everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only slight change would be a week rate for the parking. It was a bit expensive on a daily rate.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 22A night at the Adolphus
This is a great old hotel with beautiful rooms. We had two rooms. One had double beds and it was not a suite, but it was large enough to be a suite. The other room had a queen size bed and it was also large and very beautiful. The staff was great and the hotel is close to lots of restaurants and night life.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 22Outstanding Hotel
My son and I stayed at The Adolphus. We absolutely loved it. We also heard that the 22nd floor was haunted which made our stay even more exciting. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.

The staff couldn't have been nicer--we got 5 star service all the way around, from reception to the porters and valet staff. Parking is a little pricey, but other than that the trip was excellent in every regard.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 22Old, run down hotel
After following a labyrith to find our Junior Suite which was large, as promised, but filthy! The room furniture was heavily stained and their were visible stains on the linens! Because this was a week long stay, I called to register my dismay at the condition of the room and we were very graciously switched to another room that was on their top floor. Again, the room was large, but not particularly user friendly. They had to find a dresser for us because they only had 3 drawers in the TV cabinet. The cleaning staff did little more than make the beds each day. Water marks stayed on the glass table tops all week. We asked for two bath sheets and got 8 hand towels, each evening when we had to order ice and glasses they brought every kind of glass but a cocktail one, one night they delivered a cheese tray and expensive bottle of wine instead of our ice and glasses (when I pointed out that the card was for someone else, they left it, which was nice, but I don't drink wine!). Although the rooms were large, they are not comfortable nor well arranged. All in all, we were disappointed with this hotel. It is certainly not what we expected from such a well regarded old standard.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 22Exceptional Service/Great Price
We booked the room at the Adolphus at an exceptional rate. It was a great hotel with all of your needs being catered to. The room was perfect other than a lot of dust around the sconces in the bathroom. We had a lot planned and did so much sightseeing that we spent little time at the hotel itself but did get to look around and some of the artwork, tapestries, and the beautiful paino in lobby. It is truly a beautiful hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 22Nice hotel
It is a beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff. The room was very comfortable. The downtown location was a little inconvenient. You really have to drive to everything. It is always hard to find if you are not familiar with downtown Dallas. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 22Weren't ready for the Cotton Bowl crowd
I have stayed at the Adolphus before and it was one of the best hotel stays ever! However, stayed there the night before Cotton Bowl, and they were not prepared for the crowd. We couldn't check in until almost 6 pm, they tried to put us (party of 4) in a room with one king, finally accommodated us in a room with two doubles, but the room was very small and the TV was circa 1985. Staff was very kind and professional, but clearly overwhelmed by the crowd.
