Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 24very luxury hotel
the hotel was very beautiful... the only issue was the bed very uncomfortable... I think that for the type of hotel that it is they should have much better beds.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 24Loved it!
The hotel staff was really friendly, our room was amazing, really well-decorated and overlooking the pool, and we could walk to downtown. Although, I must say, we underestimated the sheer, overwhelming hotness of the heat in July. Luckily, the room was great to hang out in, we used their fitness facility, and the wife got a massage (which was excellent). When we pulled up to the front of the hotel we thought we might have made a mistake, but we left extremely satisfied and would stay here again. Just not in July.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 24worth at least 10 times the rate. amazing.
service always with a smile, chic, comfortable, incredible rooms, immaculate grounds. Larry the nite manager is one of the most amazing people i've come across in hotels, and to have that impression on someone when you are working the graveyard shift isn't always the easiest thing. was honestly blown away with everything at the hotel. planning a trip back soon, just because we enjoyed it so much. It's a MUST in Palm Springs!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 24Loudest Air-Conditioner Ever
The service was really nice and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The major problem was the air-conditioner and maintence of the room. The radio was on when I entered the room and the air-conditioner felt good after driving in the heat to Palm Springs. After spending the day at the pool and having dinner with my friend in their empty restaurant, we went back to the room. The bed was confortable, but the shower missed a part on the right knob and when we went to sleep, we turned off the radio. That's when I heard how loud the air-conditioner was. The noise was so loud that my friend headed back to L.A. after 2 hours of listening to the rattling noises which seemed due to again, missing pieces. The air-conditioner was very old and the vent covers were missing. After listening to it for another hour, I finally gave up and turned it off dealing with Palm Springs heat. I woke up at 7 am to the baby crying in the next room and the stinking diaper left in the alcove adjoining our rooms. Hotel needs improvement.

Totally exceeded our expectations for a last minute room in Palm Springs.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 24great service, but small room
excellent services, very attentive staff. spa was nice. food was great. only negatives i can think of are that our room was reeeaalllly tiny, and the bathroom drains (sink and tub) were slightly backed up, and the tub faucet had a weird plastic bag taped to it to keep water from dripping (?). otherwise, nice facility.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 24Amazing Customer Service!
When we arrived for our stay there was a freak windstorm that slowed down the check-in process due to the maids not being able to clean rooms for their own safety. We were offered a free glass of Champagne while we waited and were comped for lunch at the excellent Citron restaurant for the inconvenience. Aside from that the entire staff including George at the front desk and I believe it was Diego were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. I would def come back to hotel for the great service and its a nice hotel with good location.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 24Absolutely amazing!
The Viceroy was fantastic! As soon as we walked in we were offered champagne while we checked in. That service continued throughout our stay. The room, the restaurant, the grounds and the pool were all freaking awesome. I'll definitely be back. SO much better than The Parker in Palm Springs.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 24great location and good atmosphere
The Viceroy is a great, hip little hotel in downtown Palm Springs. If you are looking for a mega-resort that is new and sprawling then this isn't the place for you. If you want old-style palm springs (with a decidely modern twist), in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown then its a great place. Friendly service abounds.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 24We had a great time
We went to the Viceroy for the weekend. Our room was small but had a cool design. Be aware that if you book one of the the small rooms they have a shower but no tub-this wasn't really an issue for us though. The service from the staff was really excellent. Here in LA the Viceroy has a reputation for being a hipster hangout- I was concerned that there might be a different standard of service for regular folks. Not a bit- they treated us like honored guests the entire time. The pool and hot tub nearest us was lovely and, as the pool was heated, totally usable even in the relative cool of the California "winter". Smoking was allowed at the pool area we went to- this was actually a drawback for me but one of only a very few. Also, it's just a couple blocks to the all the shops and restaurants along Palm Springs main drag- it's best to walk (or use the complimentary bikes the hotel provides) as parking in that area can be a challenge. We'd love to go back some time.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 24Dolled up Motel 6
Not at all what we were expecting for nearly $400 per night. Our room was a Motel 6 type room with nicer furnishings. We had a problem with the housekeeping as well. Our room was not cleaned during the day. We called to inform the front desk staff. They assured us that it would be cleaned while we were at dinner. Just before leaving for dinner I called to confirm that the room would be cleaned, the staff assured me it would. When we returned from dinner, the room was still not cleaned and we had to wait for 30 minutes while it was cleaned. Unacceptable.
