Swanky but dirty

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I had heard such great things but in the end, I probably would have been happier in a less expensive hotel that was clean. The rooms are decorated very nicely but they are dirty. First, the room smelled like cigarettes. Secondly, the large area rug in the room that was mostly white was stained and grey in all the white parts. The couch which was checkered white and black was dirty that the white parts were grey and the cushions were sunk in, didn't even want to sit on the couch let alone walk on the carpet. And the glass water cups which had plastic over them were not cleaned and had dried tooth-paste on the bottom interior of the cup. The only clean part of the room was the bed. Just Gross! To top it all off, the internet was down most of my stay. The only nice part of the hotel were the grounds which were very pretty and maintained nicely. The staff was also very friendly.

Very Nice

The hotel was a great find (although their tiny front sign made it difficult to find at night.) Beds were very comfortable. Hanging out at the pool was really pleasant; service at the pool was attentive but not obtrusive. the location and hotel layout made the the stay seem like we were at an exclusive resort. My only concern would be that they list the pets OK rooms so that those of us with allergies could be more selective.

Very cute boutique hotel!

Loved the Viceroy! The staff was super friendly and the decor was really cute. The pool areas are very nice and comfortable. There is even an adults only pool. Great stay!

Swanky spot that's worth a stay

From the decor to the excellent service to the delicious meals from Citrus, Viceroy is a swanked out spot that's worth a stay. The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are nicely remodeled (aside from minor rough spots here and there), and the service shines. The staff are the real hightlight of the experience. The wireless I-net was down while I was there, which is inconvenient for a biz traveler but not the end of the world. My room was "upgraded" but still had an old CRT television, which is surprising considering the quality of the rest of the hotel. It spawls over several acres but feels intimate and has 3 pools including an kid-free one. The location is great if you want to be right in Palm Springs. I would return but I might check out some of the other highly rated places first just for comparison.
