Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 25Great for the money, but needs some minor upgrades
For the money they charged, the Arena Hotel is an excellent value. Although everything is dated and a remodel is necessary, based on the proximity to downtown, and the jacuzzi tub in the room, this is an excellent hotel value. My only major gripe was with the customer service. I was awoken at around 8 am Sunday morning by blaring music across the street. The Rock and Roll Half Marathon was underway, and there was no notice from the hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 25Great Deal for the money
Overall my stay was pleasant, but the acoustics were very disturbing. I could hear the people above me move around the whole night. My tv was not functioning right, asked the front desk to send someone, no one came. The room was not as clean as I would like it to be, but I could oevr look that with other benefits. I would certainly be a return customer if they could just thoroughly clean the rooms. I liked the room set up and the hot tub, though that looked like it was installed in a hurry, it did not look very secured to the wall.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 25GREAT HOTEL
My first time staying here and i cant complain about anything.. the exterior was beautifully landscaped and comfortable tables outside to lounge around, the lobby was bright, clean and the cookies and coffee were great. They had internet available for guests. Walking down the hallway i was skeptical about the rooms smelling like smoke because there are indoor corridors connecting smoking and non smoking rooms but alas upon opening of my door i was surprised as there was not a hint of smoke or any other smell. very fresh very clean and the vanity and bathroom were spotless.. the jacuzzi tub was where i spent most of my time. it had 4 jets with excellent pressure and the water was hot hot hot.. the bed was fantastic and the pillows were a 4 on a 1-5 scale.. the free dinner was very good.. nothing fancy.. just salad, hot dogs, hambugers and chips, but all you can eat and drink... soda was flat but juice was great. breakfast was fantastic for the price of the room and what they offer you cant beat it.i will be staying here again and again lol.. i left some things in the room and called as soon as i noticed and they were very helpful in making sure i got my things. close to all the freeways and a store right next door to get anything you may have forgotten.. i love this place and wish i was there now

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 25Great location
For the cost and location this was a great hotel. It is just blocks from HP Pavilion and made our evening at the Sharks game into a wonderful get away. We could even park 2 cars there for free, so what we saved in the cost of parking paid for half of the hotel. A few small complaints, however. The fan in the bathroom was unbelievably noisy. Also, the pillows were not very comfortable. But given the cost it was well worth the stay.

The only complaint I have is the slow drainage in both the sink and tub. Everything else at this hotel is great, love the location!

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 25Right next to HP, nice tub, weak breakfast
Perfect if you're going to a Sharks game or a concert, so you don't have to pay for parking. The hot breakfast was a disappointment. There was a sign posted that listed everything that was offered in the breakfast, but sausage, waffles, french toast, and bacon were nowhere to be found in reality. The room is well equipped, but a little old and worn out. The jacuzzis (which fit 2 people) and the location are the 2 reasons to stay here. Not a whole lot of TV channels are offered, and there weren't really any pay-per-view offerings, just like 2 or 3 movies. There is one of those 24-hr type drug stores next door, but it was already closed once we had returned from the hockey game, which forced us to get noodles in a cup from the hotel vending machine. The rooms have a kitchenette, everything but an oven.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 25Nice Hotel
This hotel is great for the price. It's very roomy, has ample safe parking and is fairly quiet. The service is good and the in room jacuzzi is also a plus.

The Arena Hotel is a nice, clean hotel. The rooms are clean (so is the bathroom)!!!! The staff is courteous. Breakfast was hot, even though we got downstairs 20 minutes before they closed. We weren't rushed at all. Friendly place with a friendly price!!!!!!!!!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 25Disappointed with room, Great breakfast
We were disappointed with the upkeep of the room we stayed in. There were stains on the walls, carpet, and mattress box spring (looked like it was coffee spills). The jacuzzi tub was old and worn with stains as well. We were awakened by the laundry spin cycle, as apparently our 2nd floor room was right above the guest laundry. There are great features of the hotel that just need updating. The room was very large with a large refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, food storage cabinet and dining area with small table and chairs. Large jacuzzi tub (though we were afraid to use it). The Lobby and layout of the hotel is charming and the service was friendly. The breakfast buffet was really great! Convenient to the HP Pavilion (Shark Tank), able to park and walk.
