Outstanding Beachfront hotel in an outstanding town

great staff, good restaurant and bar, decent pool, great location

Great Prices on Hotel.com But Be Careful

The hotel is fantastic, but parking is $30 per night, two roast beeef sandwiches from room service ran almost $100, the incidentals ran up so fast they almost amounted to more than the room rate. I'd stay here anytime, but I'd be very very careful about add ons.

Malibu Beachside

The Miramar is nicely located. The food service is limited. Rooms are clean and comfortable with small balconies overlooking the pool. Very nice gym space.

PARKING FEE

THE HOTEL WAS FINE BUT PARKING FEE IS TOO EXPENSIVE.

fantastic deal

not only was the price fantastic and way under their normal price, I was upgraded to an ocean view room with a balcony. It's an extraordinary hotel and for the price I paid, it was even more extraordinary.

Beware parking and internet charge

Very nice hotel. Good location. Nice pool. Two things they charge $35 or $25 for parking a day and $15/day for internet.

Other than being overcharged two times at the bar everything was fantastic! Double check your receipts.

nickled and dimed

The hotel was nice, service was above and beyond but the little charges bothered me and subtracted from my complete satisfaction. examples: a daily charge for wireless of $13 and parking of $33 seemed extreme to me at a hotel like this.

Beautiful property that you expect with a Fairmont. Very relaxing, immaculate, and fabulous service.

Exorbitant Overnight Parking Charges

My husband and I recently had a 10-day stay at the Fairmont Miramar. When I booked the room through hotels.com, I didn't see any info about overnight parking charges, but when we checked in, we realized that the overnight parking charges were $33/night. Given the length of our stay, we talked to the desk clerk and on-site manager both at check-in and check-out about getting a break on the charges, given the length of our stay. The hotel was adamant, would only reduce the charge to $28/day (they said it was posted on the website at that rate). Very inflexible and unyielding. I should also point out that due to other events (weddings, benefits, etc.) being held at the hotel during our stay that on 3 of the 10 nights the entrance to drop off/pick up one's car was changed and lengthy waits occurred. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Excellent location & service

We stayed at the Fairmont Miramar from August 24 thru 29, 2008. I needed a convenient location for a business trip and I brought along the family for a quasi-vacation. The hotel had a nice mix of business guests and vacationeers. There were plenty of kids at the pool, and the hotel was very conducive for kids aged around 5 thru 10. Prices at the pool bar were outrageous, but that's to be expected. There was an erroneous charge on my bill re: the mini bar in the room, but that always seems to happen to me. Can't figure that one out. They removed the charge no questions asked. The staff were immensely pleasant and the service was impeccable. Every afternoon, there was a complimentary plate of fruit left in the room. That was an especially nice touch. The hotel is conveniently located near the Third Street Promenade. This is a great place to hang out, shop, eat, and watch street performers. A++ overall.

Sweet

Great place, except they charge for everything! $32 for valet parking, $3.00 for coffee in the AM, but the place is beautiful!
