Good hotel, great location

Very comfortable rooms, great location, efficient service in spite of the hotel being full (the staff even managed to arrange adjoining rooms for us by the official check-in time). Do not expect a view unless you are on a high floor -- this is generally disclosed when you book, and for more money, you can get a room with a view.

This Hotel was Okay...

So... The Service was good, but not where I would say it exceeded my expectations. I expect good service when you are rated a 4 Star and 4 Diamond hotel. With that being said, the room really didn't meet my expectations. The room was a pretty average room. The bathroom wasn't much better than a truck stop bathroom. The faucet leaked, the toilet really did look like a truck stop, and the floors still looked dirty. Also, when they say there are mini-refridgerators in each room, this is true, but don't be fooled... you can't use them for your own stuff. When you take anything out of them, it charges your room for that item within 10 seconds of it being removed. I didn't even know they had those kind of capabilities. After a few calls, we finally... got the inaccurate charges removed from our bill and... then they rolled up a mini-refridgerator that we could actually use. The location (Union Square) was GREAT!!! However, there are many hotels in this location, so you do have options. The room service food was good. The conceirge was okay... but didn't really provide me with any information I couldn't get from the brochure stands all over the place. The view was great, we were on the 28th floor and the elevator was always fun. The bed was the best part of the whole room. Super comfortable, but again... expected a little nicer duvet cover based on its ratings. Next time, I would try a different hotel instead of going to this one again.

Westin St. Francis

I was there over Labor Day, the hotel was completely booked. I checked in aruond 1:30, earlier then the normal 3:00 PM, the room was amazing. I requested 2 doubles and think that was the ticket. The room was larger. I have stayed there many times with just 1 king, and this proved to be a huge difference in room size.

Location + Views

Hotel is centrally located on the union square, close to everything, cable car, shopping etc. Had two rooms in tower building, on 29th (Grand View King with view of the golden gate) and 20th (double beds, city view) floors. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting SF, or making arrangements for guests like I did. Check-in staff was super nice. She sent complimentary champagne with strawberries for the couple in group celebrating their anniversary! :) Parking is very expensive and is not included with room. I parked across the street at union square garage for 25 bucks less!

Great Value and Great Hotel

hotel right across from Union Square. Price was right and the hotel is beautiful and close proximity to wonderful places in San Francisco.

The hotel was great...location, location, location. We did not get the room we requested at first but got 2 free breakfast and the 2nd and 3rd night an upgrate with 1 Million dollars views...It was wonderful. The Concierge Jeff Aquino was wonderful. Helpful, friendly and extremely knoledgeable. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only thing was the price of the valet parking...(49.00 plus tax per night)

VALUE in SF

If you are looking for luxury, an outstanding location and quality service all for a great price, the Westin St Francis is the one!
