Outstanding Hotel; Great room for the money

This hotel was stylish,clean, comfortable & quite roomy. Staff had great attitude. My kids were fascinated w/glass elevators & turtle/fish pond/fountain located in the midst of the Hotel.

Outstanding Hotel

Sheraton Cypress is always my number 1 choice of hotels in the ft. lauderdale area! It is always a pleasure to stay there, the rooms are in immaculate condition, the grounds are always clean and the staff, what can I say, just wonderful all the time and very, very accomodating!!! I am a frequent traveler and I ahve stayed there many, many times and would therefore recommend the most picky, choosy person to stay there with out regrets!!!

FILTHY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS NEED TO BE IMPROVED!!

The hotel room bathroom was filthy!!! As soon as we checked in, we had to go to Walmart and purchase some disinfectant to clean it. We found a wash rag from a previous customer in the bathtub and garbage on the hotel room floor. The A/C vents were black with what I think was black dust. The A/C was extremely noisy. The phone in the room did not work. When we would go to the front desk to ask for toilet tissue or complain about the room, the rep behind the desk would look at us as though she did not want to be bothered (light-skinned African-American girl that was only there at night). We read the reviews this hotel was given before making the reservation, but I thought customers were just exaggerating and being too picky. BELIEVE ME!!! THEY WERE RIGHT!!! I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL!!!

Great Hotel (Exceeded my expectations)

Overall I rank the hotel a 5. The layout of the hotel was perfect. We stayed there as a party of four and the 2 room suite was a welcome surprise and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and very accomodating. We chose this hotel because they allowed pets. For a hotel that allowed pets to stay it was very clean and there were no signs of pet odor. The restuarant, business center, fitness center and pool areas were clean, neat, organized, and well managed. The hotel lobby and courtyard was breath taking. I will definitely stay there again and I would highly recommend it to others.

Outstanding hotel. Great value for the price. The suite was clean and very nice. You can occassionally hear the metro trains and corporate aircraft arriving and departing the Ft. Lauderdale Hollywood airport if you have an room on the east side of the hotel. The noise is low. Overall I would stay there again.

"Needs Improvement"

The valet service, ponds, waterfalls, atrium, koi fish, & turtles were all great. Once you got past the hooplah, the hotel needed much improvement, all those things I mentioned above would have been better inside another hotel. Let's start with my suite: The room was old, the bathroom was waaaay too small (more like a hole in the wall), the walls were dirty inside the sleeping area across from the beds, there was a broken lamp on the night stand between the two beds, the bedding was much to be desired (the sheets were worn out because there were small holes in the top sheet), the bedskirts on both beds looked like they had not been washed in years (I'm talking stains galore). Maid Service: She promptly showed up at 7:30 a.m. each morning to "clean" the room. Keep in mind, I was in bed with a 7 m/o & a 1 1/2 yr old. Before I could get out of bed to answer the door she was already entering the room. This happened more than once (people take notes)...On my final day she came in just as I was pulling up my pants...talk about being caught in an uncompromising position. The front lobby staff was extremely helpful & friendly. This hotel charges $9.99 for WIFI connection in your room, but claims to have access in the lobby. I tried for hours to connect to their server while down stairs. I even solicited help from the staff, but could never get online. I was able to use one of the 4 computers they had for guest in the entertainment area (that was nice). I have stayed in many many hotels throughout my years of living & I must say, this is by far, the worst of them all & I would not reccommend it to any of my business partners. The price did not match the quality...

nice suites for the price

the elevators were very slow and not always working. I did not have the opportunity to see the pool since it rained every day but i also did not see the pool area. the hotel is arranged in a square and the outside as far as i could see was all parking lot. the center of the hotel inside was restaurant. so i am not sure where they have the pool. besides the weather, the hotel was okay, but the room servie was strange. we left tip for the housekeeper with a note and they did not take the money nor did they read the notes, since we had listed a few things (like extra towels, note pad or small things that hosekeepers usually have available. they never followed our notes and we did not get anything that we had asked for. but again, they also did not take the money. so, if you can find the pool and you do not need extra things form the housekeeper, then the hotel is good.

Will Definitely Be A Return Guest

We wanted to have a short getaway. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. All of the rooms are suites. My room was a double bed suite and though the bathroom is very small, it serves its purpose and the amount of space you have in the room certainly makes up for the small bathroom. Just five to ten minutes away from the beach this hotel was perfect for my family vacation. We will definitely visit for future family "adventures". :)
