Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 92A Flawless Stay in the Heart of SF
Le Meridien exceeded my expectations with its sophisticated yet comfortable property in the heart of the city. Planning for a long-weekend getaway, I was shocked to find a nightly rate not high above the two- and three-star hotels near kitschy Fisherman's Warf. Fearing the worst, my cynicism was proven wrong throughout my stay. The hotel, two blocks from the Transamerica Building and a quick walk to the Embarcadero and lower Nob Hill, managed to pull off the oft-disastrous balancing act between understated elegance and West Coast trendiness. We were quickly checked in despite arriving an hour early and found our room, despite our low rate, to be both spacious and refreshed. Our bay view was truly stunning, and the room not even icy-cold, as seems to be the norm arrival. The room was also particularly quiet. The only complaint was with Starwood Hotels' policy of pay-to-use Internet. Coming up on the 2010s, a fee Web services seems dated even for lesser hotels. (I wound up using the free Wi-Fi signal from the hotel across the block.) The front desk allowed for a 2 p.m. checkout and the concierge was knowledgeable and helpful in restaurant reservations (and guiding us away from a crowded guidebook favorite). Having stayed at the property when it was a Park Hyatt, I can say Le Meridien has truly raised the bar.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 92Wonderful!
Le Meridien is a lovely hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the room was quiet. The concierge was very helpful finding unique places to eat and visit. I have a bad back and she recommended a fantastic massage therapist that came to the room (I'm a massage therapist also and I'm very picky!). It is located in the business area so not a lot of places were open late but SF is so easy to get around that didn't really matter. It's across from the Embarcadero and walking distance from the Ferry Bldg. We also had a great time walking to the Modern Art Museum and to Fisherman's Wharf. I highly recommend Le Meridien!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 92Fabulous Deal on a Great Hotel
We were amazed to find such a great rate on hotels.com for this 4 star hotel right in the financial district. We have stayed here many times (going back to when it was operated by Park Hyatt) and we love the hotel and its location. The hotels.com price made it even more enjoyable!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 92Great overall experience
The hotel staff was very accommodating and made the stay quite enjoyable. I arrived early, but they still found me a room to check into around 10 am even though they were sold out the night before. They also made it very easy to store my luggage when I checked out, so I didn't have to carry it around the city before my flight that evening. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are large and the location is central to the MUNI and BART stations. I couldn't ask for more.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 92Super impressed
Always taking a chance when booking online based on reviews but glad we went with Le Meridien. Couldn't believe the quality we got for our money. We did pay online in advance which gave us an extra 30% off... Great location, great rooms and great views. Super happy with our choice!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 92Did not get what I had booked
I had booked a room with double bed but due to over sale they could not give us double bed and that was very frustrating. But overall it was good. tnx

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 92Do not stay here if you plan to drive to sf
Room was clean, comfortable. Concierge knowledgable and helpful. The reservation was for four people, but the room was only set up for two. Room service was incredibly slow after eleven pm. The hotel offers no paking except valet service, which is $50 per night; additionally, the valets were slow and rude. Little to no street parking in San francisco and garages closed after nine pm made stylng here overly expensive and a hassle.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 92Great Hotel
Very chic hotel more oriented toward adults than families or children. Wonderful location & close to many great restaurants & attractions. The only negative is the $50 per night parking. We asked prior to so it wasn't a surprise but there are other parking garages close by that aren;t as expensive.
