Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 28Small Rooms
Very small rooms - really too small for comfort. Hotel seems to be a 'mickey mouse' operation. We asked for extra pillows and were told that the hotel was sold out and there weren't any available...

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 28Great hotel staff
The staff at the Bullfinch Hotel were all excellent. They did go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There is only one elevator at this hotel. The elevator was broken and our room was on the 9th floor, so we either had to wait for the elevator to be repaired or carry our bags up 9 flights of stairs. The hotel did get a service company working on the elevator right away and the problem was resolved within an hour. Our room was small, we knew this going in, but it was clean and comfortable. The street behind the hotel has a lot of beggers. although we were approached for money we never felt threatened. All in all the Bullfinch is nicely located for siteseeing and the great restaurants are within easy walking distance. We would stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 28Extremely Poor Service
The hotel service is the poorest I have ever experience. I booked this hotel as it is a new "boutique" hotel. The hotel is quite new and nice in tht aspect. However, it is poor in service. The front desk service is terrible. The staff was rude, did not provide goo and accurate information. In adittion, at times there was no staff at all to provide assistance. I left an item in my room after checking out on 9/7. I called about an hour or so after I checked out on 9/7 and told them that I left an item in my room. I told them the exact location where I left it. I was told to call next morning because there was nobody to check and adress my problem. I called the next day 9/8. A staff asked me for my telephone in order to get back to me after checking with housekeeping. Nobody called me. I called the next day 9/9 and once again the staff asked me for my phone number and told me that they will call back. Again, nobody called me. I called twice on 9/9 to find out about the status of my missing item, once again. No information was provided to in the first call. Again, the staff takes my number and tells me that they will call me back. I call again later on on 9/9 and a staff tells me that my item was found and in logged in the housekeeping book. I was told to call again when the housekeeping manger was available to retrieve it so it could be mailed back to me. I called again on 9/11 and I am placed on hold and soon after told that my item was not found! Unaceptable! The hotel provided absolutely no helpful assitance finding the item I left in the room. In addition, nobody had any informaiton and kept providing different stories. Nobody called me and/or provided any assitance. I have never experienced such poor service with a hotel. They neglected to find my item soon after I left, did not call me back to provide me any information, tell me that is found and lost again after I continued to call for 5 consecutive days. Now, I lost my item and no compesation or apology from

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 28Great room for the money
We were very satisfied with the Bullfinch. It was our first stay in Boston and were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and felt safe doing so. Would definately stay at the Bullfinch again.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 28great location and price
Walking distance to Fanueil Hall and all the places on the Freedom Trail. Not far from the subway. Old but well maintained and a great place to stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 28Great room for the money
We stayed here for a weekend getaway & were very happy with the experience. The staff was great, friendly and helpful with local recommendations. Vinny at the front desk is awesome! The rooms were small, but clean & nicely decorated. The on-site restaurant had a decent lunch & dinner menu - I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for breakfast though. The only drawback (and this is relatively minor)was the floor we stayed on must have had a leak because there were two giant driers on the carpet that were running our entire stay - it made it a bit hot when getting off the elevator - not the end of the world, though. Great location, super-close to North End - an excellent array of restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 28Good location for the money.
The hotel is clean and neat, and within walking distance to most major sites. The neighborhood is a bit "dicey" on the weekends when the business people are gone but if you are from a major city, it's nothing new.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 28Great location, cool room
We knew we wanted to be able to walk to Fanieul Hall, the North End, and the T, and the location was perfect for that. The immediately surrounding area is not pretty, but the convenience made up for it. Our guest room was handsomely appointed and had a very comfy bed. One drawback--no parking on site, no valet. The hotel recommends a garage a block or two away, but this was an inconvenience.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 28Comfortable room, good price
The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The room was small but there was plenty of space for our suitcase to lay open and for the two of us to be comfortable. Nice bathroom, good service, and good location just a few minutes walk from several subway stops. We would definitely stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 28Great Location, Great Price
The Bulfinch Hotel was in a great location, less than half a mile from just about any tourist attractions you would like to visit. However, it was still on a quiet street, so there were no noise issues while trying to sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable, and the linens were plush and much nicer than most hotels. The rooms are small, but everything here was designed well. They even include nice touches such as high quality toiletries and an umbrella in case it rains. Great experience in all.
