Needs a little work

The Hotel was as expected,right on the ocean, clean comfortable beds and linen. The bathroom and kitchen although clean were really run down and Unfortunatly there was a really musty smell throughout the suite . For the price we paid we got what we expected but the free(good) breakfast was a really nice surprise.

Needs improvement

Staff was very accommodating. However, there was a definite musty smell in the rooms. The room was clean, and the bedding very nice; but still there was that presence of mustiness which to me signals molds and my allergies reacted accordingly.

Great Hotel

I reviewed quite a few hotels before choosing this one. I decided upon this one since it had received good marks. I took a chance and was glad i did. The location was great, internet was fast enough for my means, very clean room overall I was very satisfied with my room. I would return here again.It was a wee bit expensive (stayed during the week before labor day) but at the end I needed a room with internet and was glad I choose this one.

Not my favorite

Of the places I've stayed in the outer banks, this wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. For the cost of the room I expected better accomodations. The carpet and the bathroom should be updated. I'm big on clean bathrooms. Unfortunately it's not a place I will stay in the future. However, the staff at the front desk were very friendly.

Small room

Size of room for the money was not adequate. Bathroom so small, no place to put essentials. Had to store suitcase on top of safe.

Had a Nice Stay at the Beach

Really nice small hotel, friendly staff, clean room, close to attractions, and just a step over the dune to the beach. We went right before the July 4th weekend and it wasn't really crowded like we expected. We plan to return again this year during the second season. Michael

Very Friendly Service

Great Hotel including location, service, price, amenities, etc. Great access to the beach and no problems at all with parking. Walking distance to great dining and leisure establishments.

Possible mold issues

Main lobby and breakfast room/sitting area were very nice. We stayed in room 129, closest to the door out to the oceanfront. The odor in the room was horrible. There were definately some mold issues, possibly in/under the carpet which looked like it should have been replaced 10+ years ago.

Fair price for off season stay

Hotel was nice,and the employees were very helpfull, winter price for the hotel was fair,the rooms are very small but clean.

Nice location, great price

I loved the location, and the price was very well worth it. Room was a little small, but for one or two people it was adequate. I would have preferred a full bath rather than just a shower, but overall, I would highly recommend this motel, and I plan on visiting again.

Great Deal, Great Staff

The room was clean the area quiet and the staff were very helpful. Suggested places to visit and how to get to them. I had a great time and the staff made it that was. If you want a nice winter getaway this is the place!
