great value for the location and fun

stayed here in july great party hotel if that is what you want. thats what we wanted and i would reccommend

Not for families

At first upon getting to the room my family and I were very excited. There was a lot of space and the location was very nice with the beach right outside the back doors. We have a family of six and we were not on top of each other which made the hotel seem very attractive. However, once night came we were not so pleased with the establishment. We were on the tenth floor and could still hear the music from the club in the lobby. The walls are paper thin and we could literally hear every word of the conversations in the rooms around us. I was not pleased with this as our neighbors decided to stay up till about 3:30 a.m. and they were not even listening to the t.v. or to music. It was all just conversation that was keeping everyone awake. If I did not have childrn with me it would have still been annoying but not as much because I wouldn't have been so worried about the topics of conversation in the adjoing room. I will never stay at this hotel again because of this fact that I basically only got two hours of sleep between the loud music and the paper thin walls.

Great room for the money

Great location and was so economical for family travel.

Needs Improvement.

We got room service once out of three nights. Some of the electrical outlets and lamps did't work. Air conditioner wasn't real cold.

we arrived early and they accomodated by allowing us to have a parking pass but check in IS 4 o'clock ans we were checked in after four with no upgrade or offers to return to make up for this at a later vacation date. we noticed in the hours that passed approximatley forty couples checked in and we just waited...

Ok for the Money

My family and I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights. The check-in was extremely fast, less than 5 minutes which was great. I initially asked for a non-smoking room and when we went to our room, it was Non-smoking but smoke filled. My son has asthma so that was not going to work. The air conditioner did not work and was not impressed with the view. We reported the room and they moved us to one that compatible to what was requested intially. The sleeping area was smaller, however the kitched area and bathroom appeared to be larger. Hotel rooms need renovation but were clean with exceptions of ceilings and walls. I enjoyed the stay outside of that. There was a live band playing everyday. The beach was busy but not to crowded. Not a great place for kids but I will condsider staying there again.

Fun For Everyone

My son flipped when he saw the 45"TV on the wall!Although we were on the 10th floor the elevators were very satisfactory.[Except at 11am&4pm check-in&check-out.]I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere[the Beach Music Bands were great!]the Twin City Cafe was really surprising with their great burgers&reasonable prices.The front desk even suggested I rebook with Hotels.com when I wanted to stay 2 more days!He then arranged for us to keep our same room.The beach up on this end of Myrtle has got that fine sugar sand that has disappeared down on the strand.We Will Be Back!!!

Great room for the money

everything is good except house keeping. Dirty towels were never pick up, clean towels were deliver very late. Garbage was never pick up during our stayed.

Last Min. Vacation

This was a great room for the money and last min arrangements. This is an older hotel, however I was impressed with most of the staff. If you are looking for a family friendly place to stay on your next vacation I would recommend you to check out this hotel. One major perk of this hotel is that you may also visit other Sands resorts in the area free of charge. Just see the front desk, We took our child to a magic show at another Sands Resort during our stay.

Great room for the money

This was a fine hotel. Polite and helpful staff and a great beach.

Needs work

Overall hotel not clean, strong odor. Room were not cleaned half of the week. Needs a renovation or just a good cleaning.
