A Giant Frat House

What a dump. I've stayed at Sands Ocean Club before but this was the last time. Loud, noisy, and full of drunks. The room was filthy. Cob webs all over the popcorn ceiling. Old food between the stove and the wall. Bugs in the room and the lobby smells of bug spray. The refrigerator was so iced up the freezer door wouldn't close. I sure would bring any children to this place.....

Great room for the money

This hotel was very nice. The room we had at an amazing view of the ocean. It is very well located with the huge outlit mall down the street and Broadway at the Beach 20min away with hard rock, planet hollywood, the aquarium and night life with many clubs and bars. The only bad thing about the hotel is they make you do your own dishes. Also the spa there looks a little spooky since there only 3 rooms but, I tried it anyway and love it. It overall was a good hotel and a fun city!

Very Impressed

When I was reading some of the other comments from previous guests, I was prepared for anything. We had a prompt check in and everything was up to par. Sure, the resort could use some slight updating, however, everything was excellent. The staff was very efficient and friendly. We never had to wait for anything. They were always on top of things. Our room had a great view and the resort had a beautiful oceanfront location. We all enjoyed our stay. Great place for family vacation. Would definately go back again next year. Keep up the good work Sands Ocean Club!

Needs Improvement

The hotel was old and badly in need of renovations. The carpet was dirty and the room smelled. The hotel had no sprinkler system.

Great accomodations and location

Every thing was great except the patio door in our room was too difficult to close once we opened it - we had to listen to the music at Ocean Annies every night. However, the music at Ocean Annie's was great and the Karoke at the lounge was fun! If you want to have a good time, this is the place to be.

great room for the money

we were real impressed with the hotel,the service was great ,the employees were very friendly,we have already let friends know about this place,some of them are already planning a trip for the first of august,we plan on using hotels .com in the furture,this was our first time and we were VERY IMPRESSED , THANKS

MY room was right in from ocean Annie's bar which was great at time's but everyday from like 2-11pm there's a live band !!!! WOW gets a little old and I"m not old !!! The room was dirty blood stains on the comforter EWWW and black dirty stuff on ceiling the room need's updated. never go around the 4th of July or the week after way to many people and fireworks!!!! I guess at times the music and fireworks were fun but when u wanted quiet or to take a nap or to relax u didn't get that here. no ice machine ,vending machine ,pop machine on my floor . wouldn't stay here again if your looking to relax at all this is not the hotel for you!!!!!!!!

Very Nice

Pros- Ocean Annies was fantastic. They had live entertainment every night.The beach front balcony was so nice. The rooms were very comfortable, even had extra hangers in the closet. Everything (coffee pot, hairdryer, airconditioning, hotel room elevators)worked. Cons- Parking garage elevator did not work, or was so slow that we gave up on it. Housekeeping was a little lacking and had to be reminded to leave coffee. All in all we had a great stay. We will definitely consider them in our next visit to Myrtle Beach.

dont bring beer on the beach....

if you bring beer on the beach, put a foam kuzzie around it...if the cops see you drinking beer...its a 450 dollar fine.....just a little 411 for your stay...great room....great view of the ocean...

Stayed at betta Places

Booked hotel on online with hotel.com and room was not what I expected. The location was far from the attractions. The bed and bathroom needs a makeover. The bathroom toilet and sink both got clogged and had to call maintaince. The hotel service was good.

Dirty and in desparate need of maintenance and updates.
