OUT OF CONTROL!!!! :(

THIS HOTEL IS A SPRING BREAK FOR ADULTS!!! I AM 24 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN AROUND MORE IMMATURE DIRTY DRUNK PEOPLE!!! MOST PEOPLE HERE WERE MY PARENTS AGE OR OLDER AND MORE DRUNK AND LOUD THAN ANY 21 YEAR OLD ON SPRING BREAK I HAVE EVER SEEN! THIS IS NOT THE FAMILY FRIENDLY MYRTLE BEACH I AM USED TO! BROKEN BEER BOTTLES WERE IN THE PARKING LOTS, THEY ARE UP ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT, AND I WAS WOKE UP AT 11:30 AT NIGHT TO MOVE MY CAR (WHICH IS OVERSIZED) BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE NEEDED TO PARK WHERE I WAS PARKED... PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THO, THE STAFF HAD MOVED US THERE BECAUSE I COMPLAINED ABOUT THEM MOVING US 3 TIMES ALREADY THAT DAY!!! WE ALSO CALLED AHEAD OF TIME TO INFORM THEM ABOUT THE VEHICLES SIZE AND THEY TOLD US THE COULD MORE THAN ACCOMMODATE US!!! THIS VACATION WAS HELL!!! AT LEAST IT WILL TEACH ME WHAT I DO NOT WANT TO GROW UP TO BE! IT IS HOWEVER ON THE END OF THE BEACH THAT IS MORE SECLUDED SO MAYBE GOING OFF SEASON IT MAY BE CALMER AND MORE RELAXING IF YOU WANNA TAKE THE CHANCE!!!

Not recamended for familys

The room was not the best as far as being clean and quiet. We had people try to come in our room in the middle of the night, and the staff was not that friendly either. We have stayed at alot of hotels in myrtle beach and this is one of the worst I wouldn't recamend it to anyone!!

An O.K. Hotel

The location of the hotel is right on the beach. If you want quiet you will need to ask for a room not facing the beach. Its nice to face the beach to see the ocean but there is an outdoor bandstand and during the day the band or bands were playing all day. So if you want to take a nap during the day, it might be difficult. The room I stayed in had a little kitchenette which was nice. The appliances were older but all seem to work. The oven/stove had some rust spots all over it and so did the refrigerator. The kitchenette also had dishware which was a nice extra. Finally the balcony was nice to sit on during the evening to watch the waves. At night they turn on a light that faces the ocean so that you can see the waves.

Room Quality needs updating

Outside of our room on the balcony there were cockroaches running everywhere, even to the extent we could not leave our outside doors open.Very poor standards and even cracks in the walls outside. Was not happy with room cleanliness at all, and feel that a full refund should have been requested had we not been staying only 3 days. This hotel needs major updating as there is a major health and safety issue

Needs Improvement

We should have known when we checked in that there might be issues - no eye contact at registration. We seemed to be bothering the clerk. Hotel needs some updating, refurbishing. The bed covers had bad stains on them and the room appeared to be moldy. We left after day two of a three night trip. Our family stayed in this hotel fifteen years ago and it seems the owners have done little to maintain the rooms - the balcony's chipped and rusty railings hadn't been painted in years. Overall a dirty and poorly lit room was very disappointing.

GreatTime

Sands Beach Club is a great place to visit. I love Ocean Annie's (the bar and club on the beach). It's fun to visit and listen to the band play all day and all night! There is a resturant right there by the pool! The best burgers at the beach. Don't forget to try the lazy river. If you have children they will enjoy the crafts and games that await them. My family has enjoyed SBC for many week long vacations. My Husband and I love to "get away" to SBC just to have fun.
