Hotel staff at front desk, continental breakfast and shuttle service were friendly, courteous, and efficient. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others

Pleasantly Surprised

We were pleasantly surprised with the amenities at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful, and the room very comfortable and clean. The best part was the healthy breakfast choices they had. This area was also very clean.

Great Deal!

The service was excellent. They really tried hard to make us feel welcome there, and the warm breakfast buffet was an awesome addition.

Convenient and Affordable

I've been staying here for the past 3 years when I come up to visit my daughter at the University of Hartford. It's a 10-15 minute ride from campus and much nicer than the hotel closest to the school. Rooms are large, clean and well appointed. Staff is generally friendly. The breakfast is an added value and convenience.

Very Satisfied

Clean hotel, friendly service, cookies and coffee at night was a plus, nice variety with free breakfast, nice pool area, plenty of free parking.

Booking the Room

When checking in, I gave staff my name and they quickly found the reservation. The person asked me if I wanted smoking or non-smoking to which I replied a non-smoking room with two queen beds as selected when booking the room through Hotels.com. She replied that they only had a code that did not indicate my selection. At this point I pulled out my paperwork and showed her the printout, she again reiterated rather argumentatively that they did not have that information only a code (even though I showed her the selection on the paperwork). Evidently the hotel was full and the room I requested was not available. At this point the manager stepped in and upgraded us to a non-smoking suite which gave us one queen bed and a pull out sofa - so I'm not quite sure why it was referred to as a suite when compared to two queen size beds. Disappointing to say the least.

great stay

Very clean room - even smelled fresh! I was glad to see that they had dispensed with the typically icky hotel bedspread, replaced with bedding that's washed after each stay. Very friendly, helpful staff. A good complimentary breakfast set-up. Overall, a wonderful value.

Great Value

Although the area is less than scenic, the hotel is conventiently just off I-91. Rooms are large, well-appointed, and clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is great. Coffee and tea always avaialble, cookies at night an added plus!
